Installing Smart View

Smart View must be installed on a machine that already has Microsoft Office 32-bit or Office 64-bit
and .NET Framework 4.5 installed.

To install Smart View

1. From a client machine, access Oracle website using the following URL:

Click on Download.
Check the Oracle license agreement.

Select the Download [Link]

Login using the Oracle account. If you don’t have please create a new account.
Please save to download folder.

Once completed Please unzip the file.


Close all Microsoft office product and right click on SmartView and select run as administrator.

Save the destination folder as


Please restart the machine.

Once restarted. Please open excel. You should see a new ribbon in excel called SmartView.
Click on SmartView and select option

Select Advance and enter the following URL in shared connection URL

Select OK and Click Panel and select Shared Services to connect to SmartView.

Click Company Sign on and Sign on with Aura ID.

Click on the Drop down and Select Hyperion Essbase

Expand Essbase Cluster to Pango DB and Select Connect


Once Connect Highlight Pango-DB and Select Ad hoc Analysis
