Dear Sir or Madam:
I am writing to dispute the following information in my file. I have circled the items I dispute
on the attached copy of the report I received.
This item SYW MC/CBNA is inaccurate because
1. There is a difference in reporting the last payment made. Transunion is reporting
08/14/2019 and Equifax is reporting 08/01/2019.
2. There is a difference in reporting the date closed. Transunion is reporting 9/5/2019
and Equifax is reporting 9/1/2019.
3. There is a difference in payment history. Transunion is reporting 120 days past due in
January and February 2020 and Equifax is reporting 150 and 180 days for the same
period.
4. There is a difference in credit limit. Transunion is reporting $4550 from 01/2020 –
03/2021 on an account labeled as a charge off and Equifax is reporting $4550 only in
08/2019. Charge off accounts do not have credit limits afforded to them.
Despite reporting to the credit bureaus on the same day of 3/19/2021, this company failed to
ensure accurate reporting across the board. Therefore, I am requesting that the item be
removed and a new credit report to be sent to me immediately at the address provided
below.
Reported by Transunion – date of report 03/30/2021
Reported by Equifax– date of report 03/25/2021
This item Bank of America is inaccurate because
1. There is a difference in reporting the last payment made. Transunion is reporting
10/26/2019 and Equifax is reporting 10/01/2019.
2. There is a difference in reporting the date closed. Transunion is reporting 9/4/2019
and Equifax is reporting 9/1/2019
3. There is a difference in payment history. Transunion is reporting 120 days past due in
April and May 2020 and Equifax is reporting 150 and 180 days for the same period.
4. There is a difference in credit limit. Transunion is reporting $3500 from 07/2019 –
03/2021 on an account labeled charge off. Charge off accounts don’t carry credit.
Equifax is reporting $3500 03/2019, 05/2019-08/2019 and 10/2019.
5. There is a difference in scheduled payment. Transunion is reporting $254 in 07/2019
and Equifax reports $240 in 07/2019.
6. There is a difference in last payment made. Transunion is reporting 10/26/2019 and
Equifax reports 10/01/2019. Equifax also states first delinquency was 12/1/2019.
Logically, that makes no sense. The first delinquency should have been 11/1/2019
instead of 12/1/2019.
According to the reports, this account was updated 02/25/2021 for Equifax and 3/25/2021 for
Transunion. This has to be an error. Why would Bank of American wait an entire month to
update an account. Are they picking and choosing what credit bureaus to report data to? It’s
not adding up. However, this company failed to ensure accurate reporting across the board.
Therefore, I am requesting that the item be removed and a new credit report to be sent to
me immediately at the address provided below.
Thank you for your time. My ID is attached.
