Grade 9 Science Circulatory System Lesson Plan

The lesson plan summarizes a science lesson on the circulatory system for 9th grade students. It includes objectives, topics, materials, and procedures. The lesson will define the circulatory system and its parts, explain their functions, and have students create a group representation. Activities include a puzzle game as motivation, a PowerPoint on the topic, a video, and an illustration activity where students label the parts of the circulatory system in groups. Students will answer questions to evaluate their understanding of the circulatory system, its parts, and functions.

Day 1: From the Section 10 of Karahumi High School.

I prepared a one week lesson plan with a

competencies that would be able to meet the needs of student both normal and with
impairments wherein 2 out 20my student had a global development delayed. I found that
breaking to step by step the lesson with pictures creates a good learning outcomes to my
student with impairments and normal.

Semi-Detailed Lesson Plan for Grade 9 Science

I. Objectives
At the end of lesson, the student should be able to;
A. Define Circulatory System and its parts
B. Explain the function Circulatory System and its parts
C. Create a group representation about the circulatory system

II. Subject Matter

A. Topic: Circulatory System
B. Sub-topic:
I. FUNCTIONS:
a. Delivers food, oxygen and other materials
b. Picks-up and transport waste and nutrients
II. THREE (3) MAIN PARTS:
a. Blood
b. Blood Vessels
c. Heart

D. Materials: PowerPoint presentation, Video representation about Circulatory System,
projector, pentel or pencil ,manila paper, picture puzzle, tape

III. Procedure

A. Preparatory activities
1. Prayer and Greetings
 Class greetings
2. Checking of Attendance
3. Drill
(Unlocking words of difficulties)
I have here some words to be unlocked, let us all read.

Heart- is an organ about the size of your fist that pumps blood through your body.

Atrium- heart chamber that receives blood into the heart and drives it into a

ventricle, or chamber, for pumping blood away from the heart.

Blood Vessels- are the channels or conduits through which blood is distributed to

body tissues.

Ventricle- is one of two large chambers toward the bottom of the heart that collect
and expel blood received from an atrium towards the peripheral beds within the
body and lungs.

4. Review
 Now, let us have a short review about topic last time. What was our topic yesterday?

Motivation
 The teacher will present a four (4) pictured puzzle

Direction: Group yourselves into four (4). The first group to fixed the pictured puzzle
will be the winner and attach it on the board.

B. Lesson Proper

 The teacher will ask the student’s what they learned from the game.
 The teacher will ask if the students have any idea on their topic to discuss.
 The teacher will introduce the topic.
 The teacher will show the PowerPoint presentation
 The teacher will discuss the lesson.
 The teacher will show Video Presentation about Circulatory System
 the teacher will ask the student’s get about from the video they watch.

IV. Generalization
 The teacher will ask the students for the generalization of the topic.
 What are the functions of the Circulatory System?
 Can you give me the main parts of Circulatory System.

V. Application
I will give you an activity but first, group yourselves into 4 group.

Activity
Instruction: Using pencil or pentel and manila paper. The groups will create an
illustration of the Circulatory System.
VI. Evaluation

Answer the following questions in one whole.

1. What is Circulatory System
2. List the three main parts of Circulatory System
3. Explain the function of the Circulatory System

VII. Assignment
