Pinocchio
Everyone has read the line “once upon a time”, and read many fairytales with a main
character with a strong moral compass who ends up doing the right thing and then lives happily
ever after. The story we are going to be talking is no different it is Pinocchio but we are going to
be adding some modern twists to it. The moral behind this story is that the truth sets you free. In
this story Pinocchio gets built and desired to be a real boy, gets led astray, and proves he is brave
and truthful.
A long time ago in Florida lived a carpenter named Geppetto he built a puppet who gets
turned into a real boy. He was happy when he was at work, but lonely when he got home because
he had no children of his own. So one day Geppetto carved a puppet out of wood, made his arms
and legs movable, and made an outfit for it as if it were a real boy. Later Geppetto made a wish
asking if he could have a real boy of his own. That night being that it was his off-season Santa
Clause made a visit. He looked at the wooden puppet and said “In the morning you will be able
to walk and talk like a real boy, and if you can prove that you are brave and true then someday
you will be a real boy.” Then Pinocchio’s eyes opened and Santa introduced the cockroach to
him, and told him that the cockroach would stay with him to help him make wise choices. Santa
then leaves and suddenly Pinocchio stands up and says here I am father. Geppetto was shocked
but went along with it because he was so happy.
Pinocchio was happy too, but he had the desire to be a real boy. This made him decide
that he wanted to be like real children and go to school. Geppetto went along with the idea of
school. As Pinocchio walked to school, the day was clear and sunny, not a cloud in the sky. He

skipped along, happy as can be down the sidewalk with his friend the roach. The day at school
was spent learning, getting to know new friends, and having fun. They had so much fun his
friends did not want the school day to end. They invited Pinocchio to their favorite theme park
Disney World. His friends said if you want to be a real boy this is where magic comes to life.
Roach chimed in that he needed to go home to Geppetto, but Pinocchio overwhelmed with
excitement to be real, went anyway.
Things at Disney were amazing, Pinocchio had not yet been led astray. Pinocchio was
dazzled by all the sights and sounds. As they walked down the street, they ran into a man named
Pete Heat. Heat says to Pinocchio’s friends, “how do you work that puppet without his strings?”
Pinocchio Replied “me, I am no puppet.” At that moment Heat formulated his own plans. “Why
don’t you all follow me, I’ll show you around” he says. Roach goes to speak but is cut off
quickly by Pinocchio who eagerly want to see everything, he says, “let’s go”. They follow Heat
who leads them around the park ditching Pinocchio’s friends. Heat gets Pinocchio to follow him
to his trailer saying there is candy and all the treats he can eat waiting for him. Pinocchio gets in,
right away Heat locks them in and starts driving. “Off to Miami we go kid, I’m going to make
millions off you” Heat states, as they ride off away from the sunset.
The moral of the story of Pinocchio is that honesty is always the best policy. So that you
will never tell a lie like Pinocchio did when he did not tell Geppetto about going to Disney
World with his friends after school. At Disney World Pinocchio and his friends bump into Pete
Heat who work at Disney World. After bumping into Pete Heat, he started to make a plan to get

Pinocchio. Heat’s plan was to separate Pinocchio from his friend and to get Pinocchio into a trap
so he can sell Pinocchio.
