Aguilar OBP-3 Wiring Instructions

The document provides instructions for wiring various pickup and control configurations for an electric guitar. It explains that 1/4W resistors can be added to reduce switch clicking, and shows diagrams of potentiometer wiring viewed from the rear. For a single pickup guitar, the blend potentiometer should be eliminated and the pickup wired directly to the volume potentiometer. A mid-select switch or push-pull potentiometer can be used to choose between pickups or tones. An optional passive tone control can also be added to any of the wiring schemes.

Inserting 1/4” plug applies power to OBP-3.
Value depends on pickups. Use values recommended by pickup manufacturer.
To wire MN (1Z2Z) taper potentiometer, swap positions of the following wires: Bridge P.U. and Neck P.U.; Volume jumper and GND.
For single pickup, eliminate blend pot - wire pickup directly to volume pot.
MID.SELECT switch can be a stand alone switch or part of the push-pull potentiometer. Wiring is the same in both cases.
