(Advanced Word Processing II - 6 hrs)
INTRODUCTION
This module covers more features of the advanced Microsoft word techniques. In this part,
students will gain knowledge on how to work with tables and apply borders and shading
concepts. Also students will learn about interesting pictures, text boxes and equation editor.
OBJECTIVES
In this module you will learn about:
Table operations:
Create a table
Enter, edit, delete and/or format a text
Select a cell, row, column or a table.
Insert/delete a row or a column
Set column width and row height.
Format with borders and shading
Delete a table.
Inserting pictures: Resize, move and wrap text.
Inserting a text box

1. Start windows
2. Start the Microsoft Word
3. Open the file COINS.DOC you created in module4-Q13.
4. Insert the following table at the end of your document: (Use TableInsert Table)

5. Format the table title in the font size 15, bold, underline and centered.

11. Add a new column to the end of the table and enter its text: (Use tableInsertColumns)

14. Set the width of the columns 2-4 to Autofit Width.(Use TableAutofitAutofit to contents)
15. Apply blue borders to the table as shown in Q4.(Use FormatBorders and shading)
16. Apply a yellow shading to the shaded area of the table with 5% violet pattern.
17. Copy the table to the end of your document.
18. Delete the second table. (Use cut button)
19. Inserting Picture: (Use InsertPictureClip Art)
Insert any picture of size (H=1.42”, W=2”) in the first paragraph. Wrap the text on the first
paragraph around the picture. To set the picture size and the wrapping feature, use
FormatPicture.
20. Inserting Text Box: (Use InsertText Box)
Insert and format the text box shown in the left margin of this page.
21. Inserting Equation: (Use InsertObjectMicrosoft equation 3.0)
