Chapter 1

Introduction

Background of the study:

Capstone project is an research paper that compile at Library and

organize by the Librarian. The purpose of compiling the research paper in the

Library is to have an easy access to all information they need to learn.

Compiling the research paper at library will help every student to enhance

their capability to make their Capstone project in the future. And it will also

give an opportunity for every student to have an advance study to make plan

for its own capstone project.

Compiling the Research papers at Library is a very reliable terms of

studying the research works. Now that we are facing this pandemic ,it

affects allot to the life of every students specially to those who take their

research [Link] that the students cannot go to library instantly just like

what they used to.

An Web base repository is a storage location that is located on the web

from which packages may be retrieved and installed on computer or a server.

An Web base repository is designed to store capstone project of student in

the web and is accessed online by its user. Many web publishers and others
organizations maintain their servers or systems on the internet for this

purpose. Administrators of such repositories typically provide a package

management system, tools intended to search for, install and otherwise

manipulate web or data packages from the repositories.

General Objectives:

This study generally aim to develop and evaluate the web based design

storage for capstone project; This is to provide and help students to their

capstone projects, and less hassle from searching hard copies at libraries.

Specific Objectives:

1. TO HELP LOWER LEVEL STUDENTS TO VISIT OR VIEW THE ALL

AVAILABLE CAPSTONE PROJECT FOR ADVANCE STUDY TO THEIR

FUTURE CAPSTONES.

2. ALLOW STUDENTS TO LOG IN USING PERSONAL GMAIL ACCOUNT.

3. PROVIDE A LIST CATALOGUE OF CAPSTONE PROJECT.

4. IT DESIGN FOR USABLE INTERACTIVE BETWEEN USER AND THE

SYSTEM.

5. ALLOW USER TO VIEW THE VIDEO FROM AUTHORS.

6. CONSOLTATION STUDIES FROM PROFESSIONAL

7. PROVIDE A DISCCUSSION FROM AUTHORS

8. PROVIDE A FEEDBACK MICHANISM.

9. CIRCLE NAME THE INQUIRY SYSTEM.

10. ALLOW ADMIN AND USER TO INPUT CAPSTONE PROJECTS.

Significance of the study:

The study of “WBRCP”: “Web Based Repository for Capstone Project” will be

beneficial to the following;

To the Student: This study provide a easy access to those who wants to

advance study.

To the Community: To those who visit the website, they could enhance their

knowledge about Computer study Industry.

To the Researcher: It will Strengthen the knowledge of the Researcher on

innovating the evolution of technology.

To the future Researcher: They will give an idea to create their own

research paper and it could used it as a guide.

Scope and Limitations:

The major scope of this system is focus to the students. The Student will

freely view all available capstone project uploaded at WEB BASED

REPOSITORY for advance study.

The Student are able to Log in using free sign up. It compose of

Username, first name, middle name, last name,email account with password.

For sign in, used the Username. They could visit the website, accessed

online, the Admin and the user allow to upload, user could download file. The

viewer and the downloads will be counting. The student could have an

Opportunity to discuss with the Author of the Capstone file by using contact

info provided. Some of the Capstone file have a Video of a Author so that the

student have a opportunity to view the video. Student could give a feedback

to every capstone file.

Also student could have an opportunity to consult to the professionals. It has a

comment section to have interactive with the professionals and the users for

the consultation studies. Only students who have log in can accessed the

system.

Definition of Terms

Web Base - is a system that is accessed over a network

connection; often run inside a web browser.

Repository - is where you can store or place a file.

Compile - store things or file to one place.

Database - data management system that could enable to

store data in a structured form and then access.

Capstone Project - it is a multi-faceted project that serve

as a culminating academic and intellectual experience for students and it was

store at Libraries.

Admin - a person appointed to manage the system.

System - is a well organized made up of administrative and management

functions.

User - a person who use the system

It illustrates that before arriving into a good output, the user need to

input personal data to carry information to be used to records the viewers,

downloads and data to used for uploading file in the repository.

The process for this research is able to easy access the capstone

projects for creating a better research to those students suffered creating their

propose research studies. And also improve the capability to enhance

knowledge about creating a preferable title.

The output load consisted of different process on how the information

stored being generated as output. In the manual system, student’s research

papers is stored in private system and hard copy in library while in WBRCP,

all Research paper is being stored to the database and made available to

view and download.

METHODOLOGY

This presents the methodology used by the researchers in gathering

data needed for the accomplishment of the study in order to apply the

different methodologies and procedures properly.
