TRAINING DESIGN FOR IN-SERVICE TRAINING 2020 (INSET)

I. Title: IN-SERVICE TRAINING 2020 (INSET)

II. Rationale:

The Department of Education (DepEd) has adjusted the four quarters for
school year 2020-2021 in response to the "key challenges” in teaching students
during the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic.

Anent this, the week of Dec. 14 to 19, 2020 will be devoted to In-Service
Training (INSET) which may include MELCs (Most Essential Learning
Competencies)-based Quarter 2 planning for Distance Learning Delivery
Modalities (DLDM).

In addition, the entire week may also be used to assess the


implementation of the contextualized Learning Continuity Plan (LCP) and
gather evidence as a basis for plan adjustments.

Lastly, this training will create an avenue for the teachers from the
different levels (Elementary, Junior High School, and Senior High School) for
continuous improvement to happen.

II. Training Purpose/Objective:

The purpose of this one week In-Service Training is to:

a. Initiate a process of improvement in school and its staff particurlary in


adopting and managing change in this time of pandemic.
b. Plan for the improvement of Distance Learning Delivery Modalities
(DLDM).
c. to assess the implementation of the contextualized Learning Continuity
Plan (LCP)
d. Improve teacher’s efficiency, ability, knowledge and motivation in their
professional work.
e. Inform teachers of the current approaches in education.
f. Develop the desire for Action Research
