FINAL DEFENSE GUIDELINES
A. Final Manuscript
• Follow the template given by your Research Adviser. Use APA 7th Edition in the references.
• Final output should be submitted on March 6, 2021 (Saturday) in pdf format with file name format:
Section_Group#_ResearchAdviser. Example: STEM12E_Group1_Bantasan
• Here’s the Paper Scoring Rubric that will be used in rating your manuccript:
PART 1 (Introduction) 1 2 3 4 5

3. Bulk of Literatures are enough to create a proper topic foundation and proper citations

B. Defense Proper
• Everyone is expected to be present and in full corporate attire during the midterm defense which will be on March
8-11, 2021. Refer to the schedule sent by your adviser.
• Students who are not in their corporate attire will not be given a chance to answer questions from the panel.
• Students who will not be present during the defense schedule must submit an excuse letter signed by the parent or
guardian which must be presented to the research adviser prior to the defense.
• Students who did not contribute significantly in accomplishing your research paper must not be included as
authors in the final manuscript that you will submit.
• Students who are not included in the final paper are advised not to join the final defense.
• The defense will have 5 minutes presentation and 15 minutes Q and A, total of 20 minutes. A timer shall be set by
the panel members before the start of the presentation. Maximum of 2 groups shall present for each zoom session.
• The best presenter of the group will do the presentation. Other group members will be answering the questions of
the panel members.
• All groups must prepare a PowerPoint Presentation covering the following:

Submit the peer evaluation, leader evaluation and average score sheets to your research adviser in pdf format on
March 8, 2021.
