This rubric provides criteria for evaluating a picture storybook across several dimensions: - The cover page is evaluated based on how well the title, image, and author name relate to and entice readers about the story. - The story itself is evaluated based on how clearly the characters, setting, conflict, and resolution are communicated. - Grammar and spelling are evaluated based on the number of errors. - Plot development is evaluated based on how fully the five elements of plot are present and developed. - Illustrations are evaluated based on how well they present the plot and their visual appearance.
