Dear student, by means of this worksheet I welcome you to this outstanding and amazing adventure of
learning and strengthening our second language during this new school year.
I hope you all come to this new beginning with high expectations, with new energies and with the desires of
learning new things so that you can improve your skills in the English language.
It is important to know and to keep in mind the following items:
a. Remember that you are your own knowledge builder, that English must be practiced to be learnt
and that MISTAKES ARE PART OF THE PROCESS.
b. The virtual classes will start and will finish on time. There will be sessions in which we will study a
new topic, carry out exercises, explain the worksheets and feedback the process.
c. Taking part of the classes is a personal decision you have to consider. Participation is not qualified,
but the best grade is your knowledge.
d. Respect is a must. You have to know that everybody deserves your consideration and your support.
mocking, comment or make fun of your classmates or your teacher is not going to be tolerated and,
as a teacher, I must make sure that the environment, the discipline and the tolerance prevail during
the sessions. Watch the things you say, write or think: remember that everybody deserves to have
empathy, compassion, kinship and understanding.
e. Turning your camera and your microphone on during the sessions it is not an obligation, but it is
necessary to do it in order to have a kind of interaction with your teacher and your classmates. It is
also a way to make sure you are really connected on line and focused on the session and it shows
your interest, your permanence and your attention.
f. All the sessions will be recorded. Before starting the class, your teacher will ask you for your
acceptance or your denial.
g. You will only get the access to the sessions by means of your institutional email account. Different
accounts will be rejected. Your teacher will provide the link for the classes.
h. Punctuality is a personal tag. It is important that you keep this habit during the sessions, for your
school duties and for your personal growth. If you present any problem that keeps you from fulfilling
with your responsibilities, let it know in advance and follow the regular steps that the school set.

i. Parents will also have a time to be attended. They will be dated in advance and the link for the
meeting will be provided via email.
j. If you want to participate in class, you must ask it in advance to your teacher. For that, you can write
“Me, teacher” in the chat or by clicking the Google Meet tool: “raise your hand”. The teacher will
take into account the turn of the participants according to order they ask for it.
k. Fraud is not going to be tolerated. Using virtual translators, copying homework or exams, forge
grades or information already given will be punished according to the school regulations.
l. Take your time to listen and to understand the information that your teacher and your classmates
provide. The key for an assertive communication is based on listening to the others. This will help
you not to ask useful questions and distort the information already expressed.
