Some people think doing homework has positive effects on children.

Others think it has only negative offects on them.

UVOD: We are all familiar with what the term 'homework' is, but, alas,
people world-wide have very different views on it and it's consequences
for children. Some firmly believe homework is beneficial, while others
disagree.
FOR: Whatever people may be talking about certain parts of education,
such as doing homework, the power of it all is undeniable. Therefore, a
simple homework, as an essential part, has showed it's many advantages
it has for students of all age, especially children. The first and foremost
argument is that if they keep doing it regularly, then they will spend less
time tormenting themselves the night before a big test when they should
be sleeping instead. Furthermore, homework helps develop self-
discipline and responsibilities which will be of a big help when those
children become adults. Finally, it is important mentioning that children
asking their parents for help with their homework can make studying
into quality family time.
AGAINST: Despite these positive sides, many people are actually
wondering :“Is it really worth it?“. Particularly, psychologist all over the
world are pointing out the issue of self-neglect and, thus, lack of sleep.
Lack of sleep is especially harmful when these students have to wake up
early. Moreover, it's important to bring up problem with obesity which
has taken it's toll on children in school due to lack of physical activity.
And the final key argument is that they don't have any free time to purely
enjoy their childhood.
ZAKLJUČAK: In conclusion, doing homework has both negative and
positive sides and, because of that, children should be organised really
well if they don't want to experience the harmful effects. It is my opinion
that, due to complexity of organisation and the need for some self-time,
homework should not be mandatory.
