HOMEROOM GUIDANCE SCRIPT

QUARTER 1 / MODULE 4: ME AND MY DECISIONS

SLID
SCRIPT
E
Good day everyone! Welcome to our Homeroom Guidance class. Before we start, I would like to
And please make sure

2 The title for module 4 is Me and My Decisions. Di ba parang kanta lang sa Tiktok.
So at the end of this video lesson, you should have been able to:
1. Describe what makes a right and a wrong decision or action;
3 2. Demonstrate awareness on the indicators of committing right and wrong decisions; and
3. Appreciate appropriate response in dealing with right or wrong decisions.

To start the lesson, let’s ponder on this statement fro Eleonor Roosevelt. Sabi nya Life is what
you make it. Always has been and always will be. This means that our actions and decisions
affect the way we live our lives.
It affects your daily lives kasi
But
4
at the same time it also affects your future kasi at least makatatapos na kayo ng isang taon na
naman ng pag-aaral. Kung ginalingan nyo at nakapasa kayo ngayong taon, next year Grade 12
Grade 11 pa rin sila next year. But of course di natin sila dapat sisihin maybe mayroon silang
Im just saying na your decision of continuing
your studies affects your life and your future.
Sabi nga natin sa Module 3, We are people and we are not perfect. Sometimes we make the
right decisions, but we also make wrong decisions. In this activity, you are required to draw
5
yourself when you made the right decisions and when you made a wrong decision. So you have
to get a short bond paper and divide it into two like what you see in the picture.
6 After accomplishing tha previous activity, please answer these processing questions.
So, this next activity is connected to the previous one.
7
sa Right Decision and isang essay para sa Wrong Decision. Again make sure to answer these
four questions in your essay.
8 In a seperate short bond paper, please answer these processing questions.
It will be helpful to to look at the bigger picture and analyze the
impact of your decisions. So here are some guides to help you make better decisions.
1. Any decision-making process should come with facts.
We don’t decide based on impulse or gut feel most especially if the decision would mean a
complete turn-around of your life, for example, your college course.
Some of them, natutuhan nang magustuhan yung
So we must
remember to have our facts guide us in our decisions.
2. Weigh the pros and cons.
ginagawa natin. You cannot blame anybody for your decisions except for some setup.
Few examples of this is the moment you said yes to indulge yourself with vices, like
11 paninigarilyo at pag-inom.
kinakailangan mong tanggapin yung consequences nun.
You are up to face
the challenges that come with it.
3. Consult people if you must.
Laging sinasabi nung paborito kong proffessor nung college, Walang may monopolyo ng
kaalaman, Maaari natin itong makuha at ibahagi sa ibang tao. There are times that even experts
12 must seek the help of their family, friends and colleagues. Sa inyo naman, you can ask help
from your trusted adults like Guidance Counselor, teacher or parents. However, keep in mind
that your experiences are different from the experiences of the people around you so be
particular in terms of what is doable and what is not in your setup.
4. Own whatever decisions you make.
At the end of the day, you are responsible on how you define your life. At this point, you cannot
13 delegate the important decisions for your life to others and blame them if they are wrong.
Blaming is never a solution to correct any wrong actions. Take charge of your choices and be
prepared for whatever it costs. However, be mindful of the limitations of your actions as there
are areas where you still need to depend on some people like your parents or guardians.
5. Remember that you are a work in progress.
All of us, even your parents, teachers, Guidance Counselor or classmates make mistakes at
times but it should not stop us from becoming the better version of ourselves. Despite
14 considering the facts and weighing the pros and cons, there are times that we still fail to make
the right decisions and, that’s totally OK. We can use our insights and learnings from our
mistakes and that’s how we make sense out of the past experiences. It should improve our
perspective and make us more mature.
In this next activity, you must write a narration of a decision you made in the past which you
consider a wrong one. Imagine how it would change if you apply all or any of the ways
15
discussed in the previous part of the module. What could have happened if the course of action
was different? Do this on a short bond paper.
17 For your last activity, you have to complete the phrases to show what you have learned today.
This ends our video lesson. I hope you have learned a lot to improve your decision-making and
18
make your life better. Thank you for watching! See you soon!
