coordinator/ birth-
palms, not the fire!) and a brief liturgy. We will also have

Worship Update

The session will meet the evening of 2/10 to determine when and how Central Presbyterian
will resume in-person programming--including worship. Please pray for our elders to have wis-
dom, intelligence and kindness as they discuss these critical questions.

Should they determine to reopen the church we will immediately communicate their decision
in every way possible.

We do not have a date for our first in-person worship service as of yet.

A message from Pastor Mike Riggins

As vaccines get into arms--many of them belonging to Central members and friends--
and as the pandemic metrics improve in Vigo County, I have a request to make. Could
every person reading these words stop for a moment and pray for our elders? They
face the difficult decision of determining when and how to resume in-person program-
ming, including worship services.

In recent weeks I have received an ever-increasing number of requests that we re-

sume in-person worship. I believe many of the elders have, too. This is completely
understandable. In fact, I too hope to return to "normal" as fast as possible.

But this decision is complicated. And it carries the potential of having consequences
so serious I have watched elders' faces literally fall with the burden they feel. (Virtual
meetings are a pain in the neck but at least you can see each others' expressions
more clearly!) Furthermore, no choice available to the elders will satisfy everybody.

Therefore I repeat my request. Please pray for your elders. Thank you!

Joint meeting of session and deacons to happen Saturday, February 20

All currently-serving elders and deacons should plan to attend our annual joint meet-
ing. We will conduct it this year by Zoom. We'll start at 8:30am and conclude by noon at
latest. Newly-elected church officers will also receive the meeting invitation and may
choose to participate if they like.

Where do I begin? Thank you seems so
