Ubuntu Server LTS
Certification Matrix for
Dell EMC PowerEdge Servers
November 17, 2020
Dell EMC Linux Team
Introduction
• This set of matrices attempt to represent the certification status between different
versions of Ubuntu Server LTS and Dell EMC PowerEdge servers
• Prior to the availability of Dell EMC’s 14th Generation Servers, Ubuntu Server was
Canonical supported on Dell EMC servers, but with the release of 14G Servers Dell
EMC offer L1 & L2 support for Ubuntu Server LTS OEM on PowerEdge servers.
• Dell’s policy is to offer ‘validation’ support for a new release of Ubuntu Server LTS at
GA or as soon as possible afterward
– Customers with an existing Dell ProSupport contract who purchased their Ubuntu Server LTS subscription
with their Dell EMC server will continue to be covered by their ProSupport contract.

previous cert and will appear on the Ubuntu certification page. No additional validation has been
carried out. Certified is indicated by:
– Validated : The release has been successfully certified and tested and will appear on the Canonical
hardware certification page. The contents of the distribution are supported by Dell Technologies for
their Ubuntu OEM customers and contain functioning drivers for the hardware platform. In the
