INFRASTRUCTURE :-

 Water :-

The proposed unit required about 500ltrs of

water per day for domestic as well as industrial
purposes. The required water is available without any
problem as there is water pipeline facility from
corporation.

 Transportation Facilities :-

The propose unit is located KSSIDC

industrial area, sagara road, NH-206 main road
shimoga. There is well planned highway road facility
for purpose of transportation of semi finished
materials and finished products to the destined
industries without any problems.

 Power Requirment :-

The proposed unit requires 35hp for the

purpose of machinery job work and other allied
 service job work. As the power requirement comes
under LT line the required power is available without
any problems.

 Labour :-

The proposed unit required the eight

worker who will be recruited locally. The proposed
units that enough.

 Less capital outlay :-

Machinery job work required much less

capital investments as compared to other modes of
job works. The cost of operating and maintaining is
lower cot machinery job works are generally on raw

Introduction :-

Lathe Machine :-

A lathe is a machine tool that rotates a work piece about

an axis of rotation to perform various operations such as
cutting, sanding, knurling, drilling, deformation, facing
and turning with tools that are applied to the work piece
to create an object with symmetry about that axis.
The lathe was very important to the industrial revolution.
It is also known as the ‘mother of machine tools’, as it
was the first machine tool that led to the invention of
other machine tools.
Air Compressor :-

An Air Compressor is a device that converts power into

potential energy stored in pressurized air. By one of
several methods, an air compressor forces more and more
air into a storage tank, increasing the pressure. When tank
pressure reaches its engineered upper limit, the air
compressor shuts off. The compressed air, then, is held in
the tank until called into use. The energy contained in the
compressed air can be used for a variety of applications,
utilizing the kinetic energy of the air as it is released and
the tank depressurizes. When the tank pressure reaches its
lower limit, the air compressor turns on again and re-
pressurizes the tank. An air compressor must be
differentiated from a pump because it works for any
gas/air, while pump work on a liquid.

Facing Machine :-
Facing in machining can be used in two different areas :
Facing on a milling machine and facing on a lathe.
Facing on lathe uses a facing tool to cut a flat surface
perpendicular to the work piece rational axis. A facing
tool is mounted into a tool holder that rests on the carriage
of the lathe. The tool with then feed perpendicularly
across the parts rational axis as it spins n the jaws of the
chuck. A user will have the option to hand feed the
machine while facing, or use the powder feed option.
Facing will take the work piece down to its finished
length very accurately.
