Maersk oil alshaheen field as a NDT-Multi-technician with IRATA Level 2 (very

RESPONSIBILITIES IN MAERSK OIL ALSHAHEEN FIELD
Working as a IRATA level 2 in carry out ultrasonic inspection on vessel, top side
piping corrosion monitoring survey in all platforms.
Cross checking and authorize the welds or new lines by flaw detection
examination which one is hand over from construction to production.
Evaluate the results as per the client’s requirements & verify the P& ID.
To carry out ultra sonic thickness measurement on top side piping / vessel.
Corrosion mapping on in-service inspection as per API-570 code.
In daily activities of Preparation of NDT reports with isometric sketch for new
process lines/modification with relevant auto cad sketches with orientation of
defects.
Close monitoring survey on corroded lines by using USTM method for fitness for
service level 1 analysis.
To carry out eddy current testing for sorting material. (chloride stress induced
corrosion cracking) for the CSCC project.
Daily reported to onshore the overall anomalies obtained.
To carry out radiography testing on equipments, pipes & weld joints to be based
upon the client’s requirements.
To carry out the film processing & interpretation on welded joints films as per
code AWS D1.1
To carry out ultrasonic testing on nodes (3.9)
To carry out positive material identification (PMI) by using gun (x-ray) for
valves, pipe lines and welds.
To carry out Eddy current test on as per system wise to check the anomalies in
the existing plant to avoid CSCC (chloride stress corrosion crack)

RESPONSIBILITIES IN ZIRKU ISLAND
Close monitoring the technicians according to the monthly or daily plan to
achieve the KPI. ( key performance indicator)
Making necessary arrangements like such as permit approval, coordination with
other team members including production, and mechanical, scaffolding team.
To resolve the problems from the sight and rectify problematic situations.
To lead & carry out ultra sonic, visual inspection on piping in service inspection
as per API 570 code.
To prepare & calculate the Remnants life of piping (Fitness for service) as
per API 579-1 / ASME FFS-1 2007.
To carry out ultrasonic testing on piping such as process lines, stabilized
condensate lines crude oil loading lines, sour water lines, oily water lines, fuel
gas lines, cooling water lines, Treated sour water lines, all drain outlet lines from
storage tanks ,flare lines etc.,
Based on This piping survey Calculate the corrosion rate & MAT as per
client’s requirements.
To check & review with the line numbers, material specification, small bore
connections as per process instrumentation diagram.
To carry out external / internal visual inspection on equipments such as crude
storage tanks, first / second stage Desalted vessels, Gas oil separators, crude oil
heaters, heat exchangers, free water knout drums, feed surge spheres, column
etc.,
To prepare the documents as per specifications to meet the client
requirements.
To ensure & co ordinate all Ndt activities in PSIM project.
To prepare ISO drawings & submit to the client.
