Grey wolves are the planet's most widespread large land mammals after humans and livestock. A wolf pack is two or more wolves that have a defined territory.

Grey Wolves in the Arctic areas are usually white but in other areas they can be black in colour. The pack members communicate with each other by crouching,
rolling over and chin touching or using vocalizations such as howling.

Same appearance there born as mammals they stay as mammals.

The wolf's fur colour also varies geographically, from white with grey, brown, black, cream-colour, tawny, and some nearly all uniform black or white (in arctic
conditions). However the grey fur colour tends to dominate, as evidence by the name, the Grey Wolf. There fur changes eye colour weight and height.

Grey wolves need more deer more safe places to live with no hunters and less pollution and global warming.

Grey wolves are endangered because there were so few left in the lower 48 states they had to be protected under the Endangered Species Act. Grey
wolves are endangered because people hunted them like pests, took over their land, and killed them because they thought the wolves were hunting their
livestock.

Facts:-

1. The scientific name for grey wolf is canis lupis.


2. A grey wolf when it’s hunting can sprint up to speeds to 50-60 km/h
3. The strongest male and female pairing lead the pack and are known as ‘alphas’
4. A single wolf howl can be heard up to 10km
5. A wolf’s hearing is twenty times better than a human
6. A wolf can eat up to 9kg on one meal alone
7. A single wolf can be up to 3ft to 5ft tall
8. There are 7,000 to 11,200 grey wolves in Alaska, 3,700 in great lakes and 1,675 in northern Rockies

Diet:-

Grey wolves are carnivores their natural diet is deer, moose, caribou, elk, bison and musk-oxen.

Habitat:-

The grey wolf lives today in a diverse range of environments, including tundra, mountain areas, woodlands, forests and grasslands.

Last stage is adult.


Third stage is called
young adult.
A baby grey wolf is called a pup.

The second stage is call juvenile.
