a. Is it owned by another organization? No, the NFL is owned by the 32 NFL team
owners.
b. Does it own other organization(s)? Each team is its own entity, and each owner
has a place on the executive committee creating a governing body for the
organization.

D. The principal products or services the organization manufactures or conveys? The NFL
production in TV deals, ticket sales, merchandising, and licensing rights, and corporate
sponsorships.
a. Who are the principal clients for those products or services? The Principle clients
for the products and services are all people who value athletic sports as valid
entertainment.
E. The organization’s history, beginning with the date founded/operations began? The
League started to play on August 20, 1920.
F. What is the reputation of the organization? Through all the NFL controversial missteps
they have managed to stay afloat by spacing their relationships out to controversy. The
NFL has held the positions that they are a space were family and friends can come
together and enjoy the game of football together, and do not have to worry about
anything else going on in the current world.
a. The relative status of the organization compared with competitors? The NFL runs
the table compared to the Canadian Football league, XFL, and any overseas
American football organizations.
b. Who are its competitors? The NFL competes with FIFA World Cup, UEFA,
EFL, LaLiga, Bundesliga, Ligue1, MLS, Canadian Football League for
viewership.
G. What are the projects, issues, or problems with which the organization is currently
involved (e.g., Mergers and acquisitions?) The biggest issue currently in the NFL is the
division between the players and owners of the organization in regard to injustice
created by the police more specifically the police brutality.
a. New product development? The NFL as a whole has made it a point of interest
to focus on the availability of live streams. Live streaming is an investment
because it allows fans to never miss a game.
b. Growth and new markets/clients? My focus is now on the Colts, and they plan to
focus on the veteran Philp Rivers.
c. Financial/budget issues? The Colts are up 8% in value.
d. Labor issues? None on the surface level.
e. Community relations? In terms of the community the Colts organization has
seven initiatives, and six events and programs for there community.
f. Cite two articles/entries from relevant publications (popular press, trade
publications, etc.) that describe the operations of the organization, or profile a
principal employee, or discuss a current event in which the organization is

a. Salary range? In the NFL players are not able to negotiate there salary until the
fourth year of employment. Rookies often get what they get and are not able to
negotiate their terms until then.
M. What questions about the position would you ask the interviewer in a selection interview
(or the interviewee in a career interview)? The question I plan to ask will be about
financial spending, understanding how the league works, the reality of the NFL, and the
dark side of the NFL.

of Compliance at APU played for the Colts.

interested in working for this organization in this position. Hello, my name is Gil’Scott
Jackson II, I am going on my fifth year playing for Azusa Pacific University. It would be
an honor to have the opportunity to work with the Indianapolis Colts. As I know my
college career has not been what I expected, I am more than hopeful to have the
opportunity to showcase my abilities and to prove that I am a professional athlete.
