Your Intended Learning Outcome:

Construct a plan of action to enhance the desired personal qualities of a


teacher.

You are now entering a very demanding profession. Now is the best time for
you to tune in and identify the personal qualities that make you a promising
teacher. Perhaps, the hectic pace of your professional study did not allow
you to reflect on your own behavior. Observing teachers in their classrooms
will enable you to see he desirable personal qualities put into action in
varying realistic teaching and learning situations.

In this learning experience, you will be guided through the experiential

- My desirable teacher qualities that I have are; Caring, Loving, Fair,
Respectful, Responsible, Enthusiastic and Joyful.
B. Which of your present qualities do you want to further develop or
strengthen? Are they in the list of desirable teachers’ qualities?
-Competent, Responsible, Respectful, Reflective.
Something to Ponder

If I have 9 – 10 of the desirable teachers’ qualities, therefore I am highly


promising.
If I have 7 – 8 of the desirable teachers’ qualities, then I am a promising
teacher.
If I have 0 – 6 of the desirable teachers’ qualities, then I have to strive in
developing those qualities for my personal growth.

A. What will be your plan of action to further develop your qualities of


becoming a highly promising teacher.

-As stated in my long-term teaching goal, it is my intention to


help my students maximize their full potentials as individuals. I will
facilitate my student along the way to achieve their full potential by
setting personal goals for themselves and by being a living example of
that myself. I want to encourage my student to recognize and share
their talents with the rest of the world for it is only in so doing that
they will make the contribution to life that they were intended for. In
order to effectively attain these goals, I must be an intentional
teacher. I must therefore have a plan of action and be willing to invest
the time, energy and resources to accomplish this. I realize that I will
not be able to achieve my goals overnight- these things will begin
transpire over time.
