1. Which among the illustrations portray the meaning of freedom as we discussed above.
Explain.
- The illustration that portrays the meaning of freedom for me is the illustration number
2. Because it shows that if we have freedom, we should have responsibility to analyze
the consequences of the actions we have done because of the freedom that was given
to us as what was discussed on our lesson.
2. What is the connection of the concept of freedom with being given license to do
something (for example: driver’s license, license to own a gun)? How is this connected to
our discussion on freedom?
- The reason that we are allowed to have a license to do something is to have freedom
also but the license should be used with responsibility. For example, the driver’s
license. Because of it drivers are allowed to go wherever they want to go but before
getting a license the driver must attend to seminars about the actions of a responsible
driver in roads because a responsible driver is also a defensive driver, not the
aggressive one, to teach the drivers to just not think of themselves in the roads but
also for other people. As for the license to own a gun, it doesn’t mean that you have a
license means you can now shoot when or wherever you want, no. It just allows you
to hold a gun for protection and not to kill people.
3. Many of us post comments on social media using anonymous accounts. Is this a real
exercise of freedom? Defend your answers.
- No, I don’t think so. Posting comments in social media using anonymous accounts
doesn’t show the true essence of freedom, but of cowardice. It just shows that the
person who is posting those comments doesn’t want to take responsibility on the
comments they expressed that is why they used anonymous accounts to hide their
selves.
