Daily Summary: 18 Duplicates and Records Not Meeting Case Criteria Removed Since Last Report

- Kentucky reported 2,946 new COVID-19 cases and 15 new deaths on December 15, 2020. Total cases were 227,818 with 2,239 total deaths. - The highest case rates were among those aged 20-29 (18.6% of cases) and 30-39 (15.1% of cases). The highest death rates were among those aged 70-79 (26.2% of deaths) and 80+ (49% of deaths). - As of December 15, there were 1,788 COVID-19 patients hospitalized across Kentucky, with 438 in the ICU and 246 on ventilators. The statewide hospital capacity was 64.8% occupied with ICU capacity at 71.
