What time is it?/What’s the time?

• 3:00, It’s three o’clock / sharp.


• 3:05, It’s five past three.
• 3:10, It’s ten past three.
• 3:15, It’s a quarter past three.
• 3:20, It’s twenty past three.
• 3:25, It’s twenty-five past three.
• 3:30, It’s half past three.
• 3:35, It’s twenty-five to four .
• 3:40, It’s twenty to four.
• 3:45, It’s a quarter to four.
• 3:50, It’s ten to four.
• 3:55, It’s five to four.
• 4:00, It’s four o’clock/sharp.
• 12:00,It’s midday.
• 00:00,It’s midnight.
Can for asking/giving/refusing
permission
• Rosa: Can I drive your car, Linda?
• Linda:No,you can’t.You are still young.
• Rosa: Can I play with your pens,now?
• Linda: Yes,you can.
Can for ability/capacity
• I can ride a bicycle, but I can’t drive a car.
• Leila can speak Arabic,but she can’t speak
