Art Station Unit Plan: Painting & Charcoal

This document outlines plans for two art stations - a painting station and a charcoal station. The painting station will teach acrylic painting techniques through demonstrations and having students create a piece using at least three techniques. The charcoal station will focus on quick sketches and blending materials to create a final work of art. Both stations provide materials, instructions, learning goals, questions and examples of artists who worked in those mediums. Standards about different paint types and the history of charcoal as an art medium will also be discussed.
