 INTRODUCTION
Our App, HOUSE RENT has come with a solution to one of the most common problems
university students face. Which is the problem of accommodation. The application has
bridged the gap between the house owner and the victims of the accommodation problem.
It lets the accommodation seekers contact the house owners who want to rent their houses
without any hassle of finding houses manually.

Any device running a minimum android version 6 can run the app.

 A Rundown of the Features:
Secured Sign in system: Users can sign in using their internet connection. The
passwords and usernames are stored in secured Google Firebase Realtime Database.

Different Profiles for Renters and Owners:
Users can sign up using two roles: Renter and Owner. This way one person can use the app
both ways. This adds to the convenience of the app.

Different UI for Renter & Owner Profile:
The UI is different for Renters and Owners. A renter profile doesn’t have the My Posts and
Post an Ad section.

A user profile can be updated or deleted:
A user can change info about their profile or straight up delete the profile if they wish to. So,
the users are in full control of their data

Ads can be quickly found through Quick House Ads Page:
All the ads can be found in the “Quick House Ads” page. The ads can be searched from that
page according to their location.

The ads can be searched according to their location. Which is a huge help for people looking
for houses in a specific area.

Location of a house can be located from the ad-detail page itself:
A user can click the “Location Map” button in the ad details page and it will directly show the
location of the house in Google Maps. This lets the rent seeker to judge if the location of the
house is convenient for him/her or not without actually going there.

House Images:
An owner can upload multiple images of his house while posting the ad. And the user who will
be seeing the ad can see the images in a horizontal scroll view in the ad-details page.

Ad update or delete option:
A user who posted an ad can change info in the ad or delete the ad itself after the need has
been met.

Convenient Contact Option:
The renters can contact the owner right from the app with one tap without even needing to close
the app and call the owner manually. The app does it for the user. The user just needs to tap the
“Contact” button in the ad details page. And the app will dial the number provided in the ad
detail with the phone app.

 Benefits of Using the App:
Saves Time: Users of the don’t need to manually roam around the city to find houses which
are for rent. They can just see the list of houses which are for rent in their desired area from
wherever they want.

Provides the renters the best price: As all the house rent ads can be seen in one place,
the renters can compare the prices for the same quality houses and get the best value for their
money.

Keeps fair competition in the market: As users can see all the houses and their rents
in one place and compare which ones have the better value, the house owners will need to keep
their house rents competitive. This prevents monopoly in the market.

Future scope:
• Beneficial for RUET students:
A large number of students in RUET come from outside Rajshahi to study. They can
use this app to find accommodation without any hassle of finding a place to live in a
completely new city.
• The application can be launched Commercially:
The app can be launched in a broader market as most of the cities in Bangladesh have
the same issue. This is a legitimate viable option for launching commercially as many
temporary service apps, such as, Uber, Pathao, Foodpanda are growing in popularity
day by day.

Conclusion:
This app can be a viable solution to a problem most of RUET and other students who
leave their hometown for face. We hope our small effort will help solve the
accommodation problem at least for the students of RUET.
