1. The teacher's goal is to enhance teaching competencies in providing learning activities for diverse learners and using community resources to improve student academic performance in science. 2. The objectives are to improve strategies for teaching diverse learners, gain more content knowledge and skills in science teaching, and acquire knowledge and skills in providing community-linked learning activities. 3. The methods include attending training programs, online study, short courses, community projects and professional readings to achieve the objectives over the 2008-2009 school year as indicated by improved student performance and teacher proficiency results.
