EMPLOYEE SUGGESTION POLICY

Community Action Partnership welcomes and encourages suggestions from its

employees.

A suggestion is a constructive idea which, when implemented, improves

Community Action Partnership’s operations and services. It may be a new
idea or a new application of an old idea. It should provide a practical, specific
solution to the problem it identifies.

Place the suggestion form in the suggestion box located outside of Human
Resources. Each suggestion will be reviewed by a committee comprised of two
senior management staff and one middle management staff. The suggestions will
be collected on the last day of each month and reviewed during the following
week. We encourage you to add your name, so that a member of the review
committee can contact you directly regarding your suggestion. If you have
submitted an anonymous suggestion, the review committee will be unable to
inform you directly of their action plan.

The following are not considered suggestions and should not be addressed
through the use of the Employee Suggestion Form. Please bring your concerns
regarding these issues to the attention of your supervisor, if necessary:
 Personal complaints or grievances
 Changes that you can make within the scope of your authority or
responsibility
 Matters concerning routine maintenance and repair
 Minor improvements in working conditions that can be corrected through
existing procedures, and
 Matters concerning policies and procedures that are not being followed or
applied properly

Complete the Employee Suggestion Form with clear, detailed answers.

Attach additional pages as necessary, including documentation, drawings or
sketches when appropriate. On any additional pages, be sure to indicate the
number of the question you are continuing.
Put only one suggestion on each form.

The Employee Suggestion Form is available in hard copy next to the

suggestion box located outside of Human Resources, on our website at
www.capsonoma.org and on the intranet (intranet.html)
