RULES FOR PAPER PRESENTATION:

1. Standard Paper format: Paper must be in IEEE format. Paper should be


essentially in a two column format & should not exceed 5 pages. Paper should
be in Times New Roman font of size 12. For headings you can use bold and a
font of size 16. Paper must contain index, abstract, introduction, point wise
description of subject and conclusion and references at the end. Paper must be
preceded by a cover page specifying the title of the paper, names of authors
and their college names as also their contact numbers and email ids. All papers
should have a bibliography/works-cited page and appropriate footnotes.
Papers omitting a bibliography or using plagiarized material will be
automatically disqualified. Paper submitted should be strictly in PDF Format.

2. Abstract should not exceed 300 words and Paper should not exceed 5 pages.
The subject of the mail with the attached abstract and later, the final paper
should be the discipline under which the paper is categorized.

3. Bring your college I-Card & receipt on event day. All teams and their
respective members should reach the event place in time.

4. Please bring your power point presentation on a pen drive.

5. Please bring 3 hard copies of the submitted paper on the day of the event.
Paper and Power Point Presentation should be in 97- 2007 format.

6. The teams will get 10+2 minutes for presentation followed by a question
and answer session.

7. Persons from different institutions can be a part of the same team.


However, one person may not be a part of multiple teams for the same event.
8. Judges and organizers reserve the right to modify the rules without prior
intimation. Participants are required to check the updates for the same on the
official MindSpark'14 website.

9. The mail should contain 1. Title- theme of the paper. 2. Name of the
authors. 3. Phone no of the authors. 4. E- mail ID. 5. Abstract. 6. Keywords.

10. Participants can choose any number of topics and present their paper on
the relevant topic.
11. Participants can present multiple papers, based on number of registrations
they have done. Innovativeness of the topic under a particular theme will be
given credit.

12. Original contribution to the paper will be highly encouraged. Only pure
technical papers would be considered for short listing.

13. Use your discretion to judge whether your topic fits into the chosen theme.

14. The participant is allowed to choose topic other than the one’s mentioned
above.

15. Everyone in a group should equally participate for presentation as well as


in question & answer session. Team which does not include the participation of
all the team members will be disqualified

TEAM AND FEE STRUCTURE: Team should comprise of 3 members. Registration


fees is Rs 125/- per person for paper and Rs 125/- per person.
