PART 1 (2-3 minutes in total)

Warmer (Personal information)

Interlocutor: Good morning/afternoon. I’m …… and this is my colleague ……, who will be listening to you and
taking notes.

What are your names?

There are FOUR parts in the Speaking Test: some questions asking personal information, a monologue about two
photographs, an informal discussion and some questions related to the discussion. Please do not worry if you are
interrupted during the test.

Now, we’ll start with Part 1. I’m going to ask you about your lives.

Thank you. Now we are going to do Part 2.

PART 2 (3 minutes in total)

Monologue about two photographs

Each candidate has to talk about two photographs for about 1 minute.

Interlocutor: (Candidate A’s name), your photographs show natural disasters. I’d like you to talk about them on
your own for about one minute. Now you have 30 seconds to look at the pictures and then you can start.
(Candidate B’s name), I will give you your photographs later.

(CANDIDATE A’S TURN)

Interlocutor: (Candidate B’s name), your photographs show people having conversations. I’d like you to talk about
them on your own for about one minute. You also have 30 seconds to look at the pictures and then you can start.

(CANDIDATE B’S TURN)

Thank you. Now we’ll move on to Part 3.
