Welcome to the 3rd issue of BaziChic Magazine. We’re so
glad to have you with us.

This issue we’re tackling the topic of marriage. Not being

married, I can only speak from my observation of my
friends’ marriages. And I’ve realised that the wedding isn’t
the happily-ever-after, but marks the point when the hard
work of integrating two lives and families has just begun.

However no one can deny that a happy marriage brings

great happiness and joy to our lives. In this issue, we are
going to equip you with all the tools possible for a happy
marriage, using Bazi, Feng Shui and Man Luck. Here’s
wishing you a happily-ever-after.

ne of the reasons for getting married is to start a family that you can call your own
and having cute little mini-mes running around. These days people are happy to
have a bundle of joy irregardless of gender, compared to the old days when it was
important for the Chinese family to have a son to carry on the family name. In the old days,
there aren’t any fertility specialists to identify sex of the embryo, so the Chinese used a
calendar system known as the ‘Chinese Pregnancy Calendar’ based on the Chinese Lunar
Calendar to predict the gender of the baby even before the baby is conceived. This system
is believed to be first found in a royal tomb in Beijing. Even though science enables you to
identify and choose the gender of your child, it is still illegal to do so in many countries. So
you may want to test out this system if you have too many boys and want a baby girl.

Reading the Chinese Pregnancy Calendar

The numbers listed on the left column shows the Chinese lunar age for the mother and the
numbers written across on the top row shows the month of conception. For example, a
woman who is born in the year of 1983 is now 32 years old according to the Chinese lunar
age. If she wants a baby boy, she should conceive during the 1st, 4th, 6th, 7th, 9th, 10th and
12th lunar month.

Trouble Conceiving
While your Output Star may appear on the Heavenly Stem on the Year’s Annual Pil-
lar, you want to be careful if there is a clash, harm, punishment, combination or
destruction between Earthly Branches of the Day and Hour Pillar in your natal chart
and the Year Annual Pillar. It can mean stress trying to conceive or a possible miscar-

Although it is a very old system and many Chinese believe that it is highly accurate, there
is no scientific evidence to prove its accuracy yet. However, you can further ensure the sex
of the baby by matching the above calendar to the mother’s Bazi chart. Usually a woman
will have higher chances to conceive in years where her Output Star appears on the Heav-
enly Stem of the Annual Pillar. Output Star can be categorized into 食神 Eating God and
傷官 Hurting Officer due to Yin and Yang polarity. Usually Eating God represents a baby
girl while Hurting Officer represents a baby boy. So, say the 32 year old woman is born in
1983 . This year the Annual Pillar is 甲午 Jia Wu, a Wood Horse year. 甲 Jia Yang Wood
represents her 傷官 Hurting Officer, increasing her chances of conceiving a baby boy. Since
she wants a son, she should try to conceive in the lunar month as shown in the Chinese
Pregnancy calendar.

You can find which elements represent the Eating God and Hurting Officer Star (and there-
fore a baby girl or boy) for each Day Master in Table 2 below. This is for women only.​

Bangsar South – An Up and
Coming Development
W
hen it comes to property investment, the most important Feng Shui factor to look
into is the landform. The macro Feng Shui of a place includes the mountain and
water mouths. If there is no immediate river in the vicinity, then the roads and
highway entrance and exit points can be used.

Another point to look into is investment holding period. Are you buying for a flip, a short-
term investment of about 2 to 3 years or something long-term? All these matter when it
comes to using Feng Shui to help you with property investment. Your holding period should
align with the Feng Shui effects.

So, let's talk about my visit to the up and coming development of Bangsar South City (BSC).
BSC is located within Kampung Kerinchi and near Pantai Dalam. To avoid the morning
traffic, I started my journey at about 9:45 a.m. It was a smooth 30 minute drive. The sun
was already up when I stepped foot out of the car, and it was hot as I walked around to
observe the surrounding area. However, all these were only a small inconvenience as I'm
doing what I what love, writing and telling stories about people and places from a Chinese
Metaphysics point of view.

As you may have already guessed, BSC is an area for long-term investment. As it is a
commercial area, it makes the study of the macro Feng Shui of BSC much easier. The most
important thing to look out for in commercial areas is the water mouth, as water represents
opportunity. To have influx of business you need a timely water entrance or exit point.
Since there are no immediate natural water bodies such as lakes or rivers, I used the road
that enters and exits Jalan Kerinchi as the reference point in this study.

Of course mountains are just as important as water mouths. BSC is surrounded by mountains,
which can be seen stretching out behind Jalan Kerinchi. However the mountains are far
away and blocked by some residential buildings. From where I was standing, the Qi of
the mountains will most likely benefit those on the ground to lower levels of The Park

 Residences.

I drove into Jalan Kerinchi from Bangsar which is from the North point while the New
Pantai Expressway (NPE) opens up the South entrance and exit to BSC. This indicates
that the value of BSC will gain momentum and become prosperous going toward period 9.
Prices of properties, like Qi, will slowly rise and fall with time. The Period 9 starts in the
year 2024, a Wood Dragon year and ends in 2o43. However, the Ascending and Descending
Qi calculation tells me that the Qi for period 9 is already making its presence felt in this
Wood Horse year. Hence, you will see the property development with South water mouth
or highway or road entrance and exit points slowly but surely gaining value.

BSC's landform is good value for those who are in the middle to lower income bracket. If
you are in this segment of the market and going for long-term investment, this would be
a nice place. For those who are planning to start businesses catering to the workers and
residential markets at BSC i.e. retail shops, cafés and restaurants, business will only gain
good momentum in the 2024.

ach area in your face represents a different aspect of your life. These areas are called
the 12 Palaces in face reading. The 12 Palaces face reading method is simple and easy
to apply. The 12 Palaces are:

1. Life Palace 命宮, the most important palace. It gives insights into the prosperity, in-
telligence, wealth, health and well-being of a person
2. Career Palace 官祿宮, indicates your career prospects.
3. Wealth Palace 財帛宮 not only indicates your wealth and immediate cash flow but
also represents your spouse.
4. Property Palace 田宅宮, represents your physical assets and possessions.
5. Health Palace 疾厄宮 denotes one’s health and well-being as well as the health of

Also take note of the 12 Palaces corresponding to the age limits of your face as any mole,
freckle, mark, scar or discolouration will indicate certain events taking place at a specific
age related to the above aspect of your life.

It is easy to apply and understand the 12 Palaces for daily use. For example, a pimple on
your Wealth Palace tells you that you are going to lose some money within a few days.
Sometimes small loses can be indicated just by an itchiness on your Wealth Palace. If the

Reaching an Alpha State of Mind

I
n the old days, Fa Qi Men was mostly practiced by Taoist Priest. They are called 道士
Daoshi. The Chinese would seek the Daoshi for spiritual guidance when they have prob-
lems, when they are in trouble or when they wanted something. The Daoshi will then
set up an altar at a certain time, facing a certain direction and offer prayers to the Deities
and request for assistance. While reciting the scripture and praying the Daoshi will at the
same instance send metta (loving kindness) to the person who sought help.

What the Daoshi were actually doing was tapping into Universal Qi and asking the Uni-
verse to manifest and fulfill a wish using the Fa Qi Men method. It is like the Law of At-
traction but with the added advantage of knowing who, when and where to maximize the
Universal Energy in our favour. If you have a clear mind and have been constantly training
your mind to tune into positivity you can send metta to others too.

But lets not get a head of ourselves. First lets explore more activities that you can do to
help you tune into an alpha state of mind so that you can easily attract whatever you want
into your life.
