Work Experience  
Currently working as an Engineering Manager/HSE Manager with a Norway based Hydropower 
Development Company (SN Power Norway) in Nepal with 23 years experience in prefeasibility, 
feasibility detailed design and construction supervision of  different sizes hydropower projects 
(RoR,  PRoR,  Storage,  daily  peaking)  which  includes  investigation  and  assessment/analysis  on 
sedimentology, hydrological studies, infrastructure planning and design, project configuration,  
hydraulic design, dam design, river training, irrigation system, water supply, road construction 
activities,  Environmental  Social  Impact  Assessment  study  including  IEE/base  line 
study/EMMP/RSP,  project  planning  and  scheduling  economic  and  financial  analysis  of  the 
projects, mitigation of environmental impacts in hydro projects, preparation of proposals and 
contract  documents  based  on  FIDIC,  evaluation  of  Contract  Documents,  administering  of 
Contracts in Nepal.  Significant input to regional project (India, The Phillipines..) which is being 
developed by present employer.  Presently working in the capacity of Engineering Manager/HSE 
Manager for a Feasibility and ESIA study of 880 MW Tamakoshi 3 HEP, a PROR project in Nepal.   
Prior  to  joining  SN  Power  Nepal,  I  worked  as  a  Chief  Engineer  for  Butwal  Power  Company,  a 
pioneering  hydropower  company  in  Nepal  established  some  45  years  back  by  Norwegian 
Entrepreneur.  Extensive 4 years of experience working with Government of Nepal, Department 
of Irrigation.  The involvement was on Irrigation Project including extensive river training work 
through  people’s  participation,  project  area  access  road,  O&M  irrigation  project  headworks 
including waterway.  Capacity building training was also conducted to RE User’s Association in 
several occasions.  Moreover, supervised MSc and BE student for their thesis works.  Likewise, 
also supervised several group of Environmental Student of Tribhuvan University, Nepal.
