1.) How did the society shape science and how did science shape society ?
Over the past years, different society have been emerged globally coming from pre historic era to
today’s generation . Science witnessed this gradual changes and aid the innovation and advancement of
the present society . The Science and society relationship over laps with each other which means that if
any of them changed it greatly affects the function of another.
The problem and conflict arouse from the elements that build up society have sparked science to find
solutions to these problems. Without those conflicts, science information wouldn't be utilized, making it
worthless to continue its function. Also, through issues that arise, it pushes science to achieve its highest
attainable version, leading to the advancement of ideas and the reliable processes of acquiring data. One
example of these is the formulation of scientific experimental procedures that evolved through continuous
experimentation.
On the other hand, Science also shapes society in a way that products coming from Science, may
it be in the form of information, technology, machinery, and approximate method of predicting
phenomena, have been a necessary tool which the society has been using from the beginning up until
now to preserve life, overcome extinction and allow the continuation of new generations. Scientific
advancement will greatly affect how society works.

2.) How do social and human issues influence science?
Social and human issues such as the prevalence of the disease, technological problems,
convenient and safe access for water, food, and even education act as propelling forces for
science to seek answers to solve occurring problems or issues. Continuous practice of different
branches of science allows science to achieve its highest attainable form. Although there is no
definite truth in science, approximations could be achieved, which is necessary to lessen errors
and improve precision and accuracy.
Moreover, human and social issues such as drug abuse, poverty, deprivation of services, and
human rights malpractice could negatively affect Science. It will create tension if left unsolved,
there will be a compettition for resources, authority, power, and status which will eventually
affect how science progress. If poverty and chaos occur, the economy will deteriorate due to the
disruption of social connections, social beings, and, eventually, society. Resources will be
affected, and funds utilized for experimentations or research studies will not be enough to
support scientific advancements resulting in the halting of science progress and may paralyze
science and society's development.
3.) How do the political and cultural landscape of the society affect the development of
science?
Politics and culture plays a huge role in maintaining a just and scientifically productive
society . Politics which is associated with the enforcement of laws and policies can really affect
science development thru various programs and laws that they make. If the government of
society prioritized programs that promote and supports advocacy related to science then scientist
or researches will not face any difficulties and may be inspired to do more in their field resulting
to more innovations and technologies made. However if the goveernemnt that lead society,
prioritized selfish cause, then Science progres will be left behind and will lead to severe social
issues.
Meanwhile, cultural practices, traditions, and beliefs are considered before, during, and
after undergoing certain studies. If studies conducted will cause detrimental effects on the
preserved traditions and culture, individuals may withdraw their support or answers will be
influenced by bias, resulting in inaccurate and unprecise studies. Furthermore, considering these
aspects will allow individuals to identify relevant studies suitable in a specific society without
compromising a specific government and place's laws and policies.
4.) Considering the current state of our society, do you think science literacy among
people has contributed to the growth of our society?
Considering the state of the society I am in, I think science literacy paves the way for the
growth of our society. If a society is full of science-literate individuals, problems, issues,
conflict, and lapses within the society will be identified immediately, and proper interventions
will be given to avoid complications. A scientifically literate person will always find the means
to resolve issues since they know the consequences of problems. Researches have been one of
the key reasons why a particular society grows and advances since it gives accurate, valid, and
reliable solutions to existing problems.
Science literacy also gives birth to various research studies in which it yields new inventions
and discoveries that suggest feasible ways to combat problems and make our life easier. Some of
the evident inventions such as electricity, medical apparatus, machinery, and studies that classify
soil from different town areas have provided people with information and means to efficiently do
their jobs.
5.) How can Science influence government policies?
Science can influence government policies by allowing the rulers first to consider the
scientific consequences of their proposed policies to be implemented. Science helps regulate the
laws government has provide. In addition, it also ascertain if specific laws or policies are
effective or need some changes. One examples of these are the complete conversion of
agricultural land to industrialized buildings. If the result of the studies conducted shows that it
has a detrimental effect on the environment and the people living near those buildings then,
provisions will be made out of that policies and laws.
Also, statistical information derrived from the results of studies are being utilized by the
government in order to come up with relevant policies for certain problems that is prevalent in
some areas. In short, it acts as a guide in crafting specific prrograms to be implemented by the
government and oversees it’s effect if it is beneficial or not.
6.) How did religion influence the development of science?
Religion is one the sectors of scoiety that affects development of Science . Individuals differ
on how they think and behave and their perspective in life based on which religion they belong.
Over the past years, Science have developed certain informations that contradict the teaching of
some religion. This causes ethical dillemma among scientist and other people who are in the field
of science discipline resulting to moral distress and constraints resulting to debates of certain
concepts of Science and pausing the inventions to be made. In ccontrary, one of the positive
influence brought by religion to the development of science is the the demand in finding the
truth. Religious claims encourage individuals working with Science to collect more evidence and
proofs to defend their claim. Through these studies other informations were unknowingly
ascertained that comes out to be very beneficial in the society.
7.) Describe in your own opinion in what ways science and philosophy can lead us to a
more menaingful life?
` In my own opinion science and philosophy can lead us to more menaingful life by
allowing us to undertsand our purpose in the universe, the processes in our environment,
and an in-depth understanding of our selves and why people behaves such thing. Through
science biological make up of everything in this world are being studied contributing to the
increased understanding of everyone and everything.
Meanwhile, through philosophy which is more concern of wisdom and behaviour of
individuals, it helps us to behave and think ethically and morally. Thus through this two
discipline we were able to view everything in a holistic way and not just a part of a system .
When both wisdom and understanding is achieve it lead people to live their life meaningfully
with purpose and direction.
8.) What is the nature of Science ?
The nature of science believe that the universe is comprehensible. Invention or acquisition of
information results to another acquisition of information thus, observing these patterrn we would
be able to undersand the world. Besides, it is concerned also with producing knowledge through
the process of formulating and testing hypotheses. Although, change is inherent to science since
old knowledge are likely to be verified by another scientist, the information from the past is still
being considered by the present studies. Science involves explaining and predicting outcomes.
Foreseeable crises or event will be identified already giving more time for the peopel to prepare
and plan how to overcome it.
Lastly science plays a major role not only on individuals life but the whole society. It is
diverse field which is intertwined with mathematics, technology, and society to answer or give
solutions to existing problems. It reflects the viewpoint and social value of the society. Benefits
brought by science in a social entity is the disemination of information crucials to the problem
that result to the development of a technology and mathematics which speeds up scientifc
process which in return develops society.
9.) What is the nature of Mathematics
Mathematics is concerned with patterns and relationships. Keen observation and analysis are
the two immportant features in Mathematics for through abstraction one have observed pattern
and use that relationship to produce formulas of everything that later noticed to have a good
practical value. It is part of applied science since some individuals who are mathematicaly
inclined used their skills and talents to solve existing issues in the society .
Mathematics is also a chief languae of Science since formulas expressed are the
representation of ambiguos statement in the field of science. Logical relationship of Mathematics
with Science allows the growth of society and give birth to the occurence of technlogy which is
being utlized to lessen the workloads that we experience. Since mathetmatical statements arent
yet proved to be applicable in the same situation, manipulation are done in order to acquire the
best solution. Note that the same as Science, Mathematics don’t have definite or perfect formula .
However, in order to come up with the best accurate and precise answer mathematical formulas
are used in different fields and its accuracy depends on how detrimental would that error wiill
lead to. It is always best to question everything we had since mathematical statements are used to
outcomes and is being related to science to avoid errors on going research.
10.) What is the nature of Technology
Technology is an aftermath of intertwined mathematics and science. Nature of
technology is to help every inidividual do daily activities efficiently and intensifes the rate of
developments and innovations. Through technology, time, efforts and eenrgy were conserve in
doing jobs, resulting to higher productivity rate which help companies earn much larger profit. It
serves as an eye and ears and even muscle of Science. All technologies involve manipulation in
order to work. Sometimes it happens that technology seems to be a helpful tool in societty thus
every individual is addicted to it’s feature.
However, we must also remember that they are merely programmed chips and it lies in
our hand the behaviour of how we utilized them to advance Science more progressively. In
addition, one of the downside of technology is anytime, anywhere it has the possibility to fail and
affect human lives if we kept on being too dependent on them. But Science on the contrary ,
through individuals with great minds and scientificaly intelligent, finding ways of calculating
and foreseeing chances of failure of technology are now being discussed so that risk in the upon
utlization will be mimized and can properly and efficiently function as well.
