Physiology of Human Sexual Response
Phase 1: Excitement
The 1st Phase of human sexual response
This occurs as a result of physical or mental erotic stimulation, such as kissing, making out or
viewing erotic images like nudes pictures, anything that gets the female and male excited
erratically.
During this stage, yung body ay nagpeprepare palang for sexual intercourse.
Both male and female, will increase their muscles tension also the heart rate and breathing
rate.
In male, blood flows into the penis, kaya yung penis ay tumitigas at tumatayo.
Sa babae naman ang vigina walls ay nagsisimula ng bumasa tapus yung inner part ng vigina
becomes wider and the clitoris enlarges.
Phase 2: Plateau
the sexual activity continues then they might reach orgasm stage,
they have a sudden increase in heart rate and also see involuntary muscles contractions and
spams as well as feeling of euphoria
Phase 3: Orgasm
This is the end of plateau the shortest and most exciting stage of all.
the body and muscles will contract involuntarily and the body will release endorphins
but don’t trust everything you see on TV, the female orgasms isn’t always an explosion of
sensation
Phase 4: Resolution
The succeeding stage. It’s allows the muscles to relax. Blood pressure to drop and the body to
slowdown from its excited state.
This phase unti unti ng bumabalik sa normal ang lahat, pero sa lalaki it’s may take a several
mins or hours depende sa age ng lalaki or sa strength niya.
The penis of male shinks back, babalik sa dating size or sa dating itsura nito.
Sa babae naman ang vigina and other genital structure ay unti unti ding babalik to their pre-
excitement condition.
In this period, some male is unable to orgasm again , they need to recover from dropping
their energy level . Di katulad ng babae na they have the ability to orgasm again and again as
long as they have affective stimulation.
Nervous System Factors
The nervous system plays a significant role during sexual response.
The nervous system is the one that responsible sa functions of our body, may mga ibat
ibang part ng brain na may ibat ibang ding role, for example the medulla Oblongata. The
center for control of respiration, heartbeat are present in the medulla. Pons only has a
center for respiration. The cerebrum is associated with higher center for senory and motor
controls whereas cerebellum is associated with functions like balanc
example yung sa hypothalamus siya sa ating emotions that why we have emotions like sad,
angry happy etc.
