Gigaleak Discoveries Megadoc
Or: "How I Learned To Stop Being A Cuck And Organize The Nintendo
Leak"
Intro:
tl;dr: Nintendo's Chinese subsidiary, iQue, which handled Chinese distribution of their older
games in the early 2000s was hacked. A goldmine of old Nintendo data was retrieved by some
dude who got arrested and this gigaleak is just a portion of that hack finally being released and
looked through.(The pastebin goes into more detail over what some individual leaks have
contained thus far.)
If you use this doc, be sure to give your regards and complaints to Uncle Cucko. I'll be lurking,
so if you keep telling me to fix/add something, I eventually will. This is being done on phone,
so give me a fucking break. You can also email me if I'm not on and there's a big find. All
filepaths are listed as N/A until I can find some verifiable sources that share them. Save all
videos, photos, audio, etc. Have a base day, lads.

Super Mario 64
L is Real
Filepath: bbgames/depot/sm64/shape/Player/Luigi
Description: He is real. Luigi's textures and some files relating to his model were discovered
and then put back together. The above is the finished product of efforts to recreate Luigi as he
appeared in early builds of SM64. This confirms Miyamoto's claims of an early prototype build
of SM64 with two players.(There are also textures that confirm this.)

her final iteration the ears were going to be brown and the face received multiple changes.
Unused Collie Dog character
Filepath: N/A
Description: This portrait suggests that an unused collie breed Dog character was planned to
be in the game as part of the good side in Star Fox 2, it’s role is unknown and seems to be
scrapped early on.
Unused T-Rex Villain
Filepath: OTHER/NEWS/NEWS/テープリストア
/NEWS_05/NEWS_05/home/watanabe/AAFundoshi/sf2-3/
Description: There is evidence that a unnamed T-rex villain was going to be in Star Fox 2, he
has graphics and there is a model of a T-rex body and legs that likely relates to the unused
T-rex character suggesting that could be either be a mech or a form (just like Andross). This
seems to be the most interesting of all unused SF2 characters.
Unused Human Woman Character
Filepath: N/A
Description: The human woman character was found within the data ofese(?) devs confirmed
that they do know about this character at all. The image on the left is a speculative
reconstruction rather than a palette restoration, thus the palette mismatch between it and the
rest of the portraits of the character.
Unused Sprites
Filepath: N/A
Description: Character select screen portrait sprites including unused characters.
It also appears that at some point during the development Andross was going to be a playable
character given there being two sprites for him.
Filepath: N/A
Description: Additional character select screen sprites including Fox, Andross, Falco, Peppy,
and the cut woman. There is zero significance to Fox and the female being together, as they
were simply placed together by the anon who posted the sprites.

Description: It is unknown what these sprites are used for exactly but, the most likely reason
would be them being displayed if one of them got shot down or something

complete set of sound assets but may be missing some graphics data and scripts.
Unused Voice Clips
Filepath: bbgames\d1\routefree\bbgames\depot\marioAGB\sound_data
Description: Several unused voice clips found in the SMA source files. First off, several
alternate takes for the characters saying the title of the game, some implying that even up to
this point in development it was considered for the game to be a more direct sequel to Super
Mario Bros. Deluxe. There’s c lips of each character saying “Super Mario Bros. 2 Deluxe” and
“Super Mario Bros. Deluxe 2” among other things.
Next, several other unused voice clips for the four playable characters. At first it was
suspected these were alternate takes, but it's interesting to note that each of the four
characters has several distinct “categories” of unused clips, leading one to believe there may
have just been more clips during gameplay originally or cut features or something. The
“categories” are as follows:
-sneezing (luigi’s sneezing clip was circulating for a while, misattributed to being from
mario 64)
-yawning
-maniacal laughter
-humming the mario theme
-whistling the mario theme (yes, both humming and whistling)
-"heave ho"
-"go go go"
-a longer more drawn out groan of pain
-a shorter more staccato grunt sound
-shouting game names (all of which are split with each other), this also includes the
earlier title names for the game (“Super Mario Bros. 2 Deluxe” and “Super Mario Bros. Deluxe
2”) and Peach and Toad saying “Mario Bros.” even though they don’t appear in this game.
By far the most interesting cut content for Super Mario Advance is the narrator having
unused voice clips. It includes him shouting the character names which are intended for the
character selection screen, and voice clips being related to the battle mode in the Mario Bros.
section of the game.
Animal Forest(N64 Animal Crossing)
Unused/Cut Villager
Filepath: N/A
Description: An unused villager that was at some level of completion before being removed
from the game.(Called Catty in the screenshot, though this may be an unofficial name.)
All The Rest
Nintendo’s Internal Spriting Software
Filepath: bbgames\d1\routefree\bbgames\depot\marioAGB\graphic_data\srdcad
Description: In the source files for Super Mario Advance, an exe called SCad.exe appears to be
Nintendo’s internal spriting software dating back to at least 1999. It can open proprietary
sprite files from the SNES, Gameboy, Gameboy Color and Gameboy Advance.
The program has tools for drawing and manipulating sprites and palettes, as well as an
animation viewer.
The program is entirely in Japanese, but a /ppg/ member by the name of theo3 successfully
managed to do an E NGLISH TRANSLATION. The directory also has detailed documentation on
the filetypes, which again is all in Japanese, but it’s rudimentary enough that Google does an
acceptable job of translating it.
Unattributed Link Sprites
Filepath: N/A
Description: Unused Link sprites for an unknown project. Could've been for an early Zelda 3 or
some sort of Zelda 2 remake, maybe in the vein of the Satellaview Zelda games. There is a
strong possibility that it only existed for a Zelda 2 tech demo on the SNES, similar to early
ports of SMB3 that built the groundwork for SMW.
Early BSTLoZ Sprites
Filepath: N/A
Description: More sprites of Link, but also including some 16-bit versions of Zelda 1 sprites.
Currently believed to be early assets for the Satellaview remake of Zelda 1.
Hit the Ice(Unreleased NES Hockey RPG)

"So Long Gay Bowser" Uncompressed
Description: A supposed uncompressed version of the "So Long Gay Bowser" voice line from
SM64. Was shared and then quickly revealed to be an edit made by someone independently of
the leaks.
Unused Luigi Voice Clips
Description: Supposed unused voice clips of Luigi intended for use in Mario 64 began
circulating, most notably a yet unheard sneezing clip and a few clips said to have been
eventually re-used in Super Mario Advance. In reality all of these clips were actually from the
Super Mario Advance folder in the leak, the sneezing clip is actually an unused clip from SMA.

Unimportant Cucko Announcements/Bullshit
Gonna place my personal commentary/thoughts/etc down here just so people know when I'm
making progress on this and otherwise. I got through a couple of threads, but it's an absolute
fuckton. Taking a break for an hour and I understand I likely sound like a little bitch, but I need
a bit to step away from all this. See y'all in a few.(Note: I'll delete this section later, when the
doc is closer to completion and replace it with a FAQ.)
Thanks, Andree, Yukita, Mazeo, Nicholas, and Geno. You're all men of culture. Couldn't sleep,
so doing a bit of work on this, mostly adding suggestions.
Okay, here's the plan, anons. I'm gonna get some sleep, charge up my dinky little computer and
get that ready. I'll be slow for major updates until then, but it'll be much easier to get through
the threads and organize all of the relevant images and links through each thread. See y'all in
6-12 hours. I'll try to make sporadic changes so this doc isn't going half a day with zero
updates.
Backing up doc now. Gonna go eat breakfast.
Shit, I can't find my mouse. Continuing on phone until I can procure one.
Guess who just found a mouse. It’s crunch time, fuckers. Also, holy shit, we’ve got quite a few
people here.
Have to do actual work, anons. Leaving a list for things to add or consider adding when I get
back:
-More info from the TCRF doc
-OoT Medallion abilities(Might be speculation)
-SMW Cape suit sprites
-HD SM64 Box & Manual Art(Have to make an album for this and a majority of the other
subjects.)
-YI Minigames(Connection between Sleep and Gyromite extra mode.)
-Link’s Awakening
Hey, comment on this line of text to give me an answer, but should I or someone else try and
make an updated pastebin?
Going to be off for most of today. Email me if the doc gets seriously fucked so I can address.
I'll still do my best to make progress on it and add stuff from the above list
