Upgradation of small topping refinery
Business case:
Estimation for fixed bed continuous reformer for upgradation of heavier naphtha into
gasoline and separating benzene, toluene and xylene for striving toward Western refining
standards to compete.
The upgradation should be done without losses in fuels revenues.
Project Objective:
To design and estimate for upgradation in small topping refinery for converting naphtha
into gasoline and separation of benzene, toluene and xylene for producing clean fuel.
Design to be simulated using Aspen according to Final Report Requirement.
Assumptions:
As the Crude oil in Iraqi Kurdistan has complex composition, therefore, for analysis and
cost estimation the board naphtha composition can be used.
CAPCOST used to estimate the cost of equipment’s needed for upgradation.
