4. Lab Activity
The following activities should be done in the lab record
1) ACTIVITY 1 - LINEAR EQUATIONS
Aim: To verify the conditions for consistency of a system of linear equations in two
variables by graphical representation.
2) ACTIVITY 3 - ARITHMETIC PROGRESSION I
Aim: To verify that the sum of first n natural numbers is by graphical method.
3) ACTIVITY 4 - SUM OF ODD NATURAL NUMBERS
Aim: To verify that the sum of first n odd natural numbers, 1 +3 + 5+ … + (2n— 1) =
n by paper activity.
4) ACTIVITY 10 - TANGENTS DRAWN FROM AN EXTERNAL POINT
Aim: To verify experimentally that lengths of tangents drawn from an external point
to a circle are equal.
5) ACTIVITY 12 - AREAS OF SECTORS FORMED AT THE VERTICES OF A
TRIANGLE
Aim: To verify that the sum of areas of three sectors of the same radii ‘r’ formed at
the vertices of any triangle is πr2 by paper cutting and pasting.
6) ACTIVITY 13- RIGHT CIRCULAR CYLINDER
Aim: To make a right circular cylinder of given height and circumference of circular
base from a given rectangle experimentally.
7) ACTIVITY 14- RIGHT CIRCULAR CONE
Aim: To make a cone of given slant height and the circumference of circular base
from circular portion experimentally.
