Catawissa Fall Train Ride History

The Roaring Creek and Catawissa Valley Historical Study Group was formed in 1997 to preserve local history. They operate a fall train ride celebrating the 1854 opening of the first railroad in Columbia County. The group owns a one-room schoolhouse and meets monthly to discuss their collection of local artifacts, photographs, and records. The 113th annual Catawissa Halloween Parade is scheduled for October 31, 2020 and features bands, classic cars, and costumed marchers.
