9. Coating : The bars will be Tinned coated (10μm) after
inspection of materials
10. General : The bars supplied should be bright and clean.They
shall be free from oxide later, nodules, shrinks,
holes, crack, cold sets, pits, sloppy edge, concave
tops, and other similar defects in set or casting.
They shall also be free from all foreign materials,
such as copper sulphate, drift, grease and oil, and
shall withstand ordinary handling without
breakage. The materials should be ISI approved
and marked.

12. Tolerance (max) : For Total Mass: ± 5 %.

For Length of Bus bar: ± 5 mm.

For Width and Thickness : ± 0.07 mm.

13. Quality surveillance : All the work covered by the document shall be subjected to
quality surveillance by the Engineer-in-charge or his authorise
representative, as mention below:
a. The supplier shall allow access at all reasonable time
during manufacture to (1) The premises in which the
work is being carried out (2) The drawing/tooling
involved (3) Gauges, instruments, etc. Required for
inspection the work.
b. Two stage Inspection (Before tinning & after tinning)
and tests shall be carried out as per requirements of the
specification and standard.
c. Material found unsatisfactory in respect of workmanship
or material quality shall be removed by the supplier and
replaced by materials which are satisfactory. Test
certificate of raw material shall be provided by the
supplier
d. Chemical composition test of sample randomly selected
from stock shall be carried at the National Accreditation
Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL)
accredited labs in Mumbai at the suppliers cost.
Department shall not be liable to pay against testing
inspection cost. Sample collection and testing shall be
carried out in the presence of Departmental
representative.
e. The supplier shall submit two copies of detailed progress
report on the manufacturer material covered by this
tender document in the manufacturer’s works. It shall
contain the following information relating to various type
of works:
1. Engineering design works and preparation of
drawings.
2. Different important phases of raw material
procurement, manufacturing and fabrication.
3. Testing.
4. Packing and shipping.

14. Acceptance criteria : The material will be inspected by the purchaser or his authorized
representative at supplier’s site before dispatch. The supplier
shall carry out testing for conformity to Indian standards for
electrical resistivity, tensile strength and all other physical
properties as well as chemical composition and furnish the
certificate from Government approved laboratories viz. National
Metallurgical Lab.

The copper bus bar will be accepted only, if the material meet all
the desired specifications and standards mentioned above.

15. Important notes : a. The only manufacturer of the Copper bus bar will submit
their quotation.
b. The vendor has to submit purchase order (PO) details of
similar material supplied to organizations as mentioned
above, along with PO number, date, address and the
contact detail of the persons/purchaser.
c. The vendor shall submit details of the price break up viz.,
basic cost, packing, forwarding, freight, GST and any
other charges.
d. The vendor must mention the delivery schedule in their
quotation.
e. Safe delivery of the material at Central Store Unit
BARC, TROMBAY, Mumbai is responsibility of the
supplier
f. Validity of offer shall be minimum of 90 Days from
opening of tender due date.
16. Acceptance Criterion of : a. The bidder shall be manufacturing of copper bus bar.
Bidders/Vendors b. The bidder shall have valid ISO:9001 certificate
c. The bidder shall have test facilities to test of copper bus
bars as per the specified codes and standards. The bidder
shall submit the details of testing equipments available
with them.
d. The bidder shall have the in house facilities/infrastructure
to manufacture material. The bidder shall submit the
detail of manufacturing equipment and facilities available
with them.
e. The bidder shall adequate qualified manpower to
manufacturing, testing and quality surveillance
f. The bidder shall submit the source of raw material
g. The bidder shall submit the company profile, turn over
during last 3 years, office/factory area.

17. Rejection Criteria for bidders Offers of bidders fails to meet Para 16a, 16b, 16c, 16d, 16e, 16f,
16g shall not be considered for techno commercial evaluation.
