Ancient Kingdoms Holidays

2012/2013

Private touring – Small Group Tours

Luxury Trains - River Cruising
Culinary Tours
Introduction
Dear fellow traveller,
For many of us, passion for travel starts at a young age. I was seven years old when I first
dreamt about one day exploring the ancient pyramids of Egypt, since then I have…many
times.
I founded The Innovative Travel Company over 21 years ago to make your dreams come true
too. Our goal is to design amazing and flexible holidays to incredible destinations.
Our award winning Ancient Kingdoms Holidays programme consistently receives astounding
reviews from returning guests who travel with us to such diverse destinations as Turkey,
Greece, Egypt, Jordan, Dubai, Oman, Morocco or India.
This year for the first time we are proud to introduce Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos, three
wonderful destinations with a rich cultural heritage and long history.
Prepare dinner with a local chef in India, take part in a Tai Chi lesson in Hanoi, relax with a
foot massage during your visit to the Angkor Wat Temples, cycle through the rural scenery
of Hoi An, spend a night on a romantic junk in Halong Bay… the options for a unique
holiday experience are endless and we pride ourselves on our ability to unveil a side of these
Ancients Kingdoms that you simply won’t find anywhere else.
I am delighted and proud to invite you to discover our new holiday collection.

Brand Ambassador
Jane Daniels
Jane is an experienced and discerning traveller and an avid reader of travel literature. She
is the perfect litmus test for our Ancient Kingdoms Holidays. For the past five years she has
acted as our travel ambassador. With Jane Daniels, the Innovative Travel Company has found
a great synergy. Both our companies were established over 20 years ago with a passion to
create only the best for our clients, combined with a mutual fascination for history.
In 2011 Jane Daniels decided to visit India, a natural choice. From the cheesy pop art
graphics on the backs of rickshaws to the visual exaggeration of Bollywood movies; from
the chaotic architecture of Old Delhi to the perfection of Taj Mahal lines; from the vibrant
colours of the market stalls to the beautiful textiles and prints, India is likely to provide
inspiration at any corner for even the most seasoned traveller.

shows in Delhi such as the spectacular Zangoora show but also in Agra, Khajuraho, Cochin or
Kathmandu.
In Rajasthan, why not indulge to a romantic candle lit dinner in Samode Haveli in Jaipur or at the

When to go?
With its slim shape and a long coastline of over
3000 km, Vietnam’s climate varies significantly
from North to South. The South (Ho Chi Minh City,
Mekong Delta) is sub-tropical and benefits from
warm temperatures year round with a rainy season
from June to September. The North (Hanoi, Halong
Bay, Sapa) can get fairly cool from December to
February.  The centre of the country (Hoi An, Hue)
tends to see the best weather between January and
September. To sum up, there is really no bad time
to travel to Vietnam. Everything ultimately depends
on your preferences to travel with cooler or warmer
weather and on the activities you plan to include
during your trip. For a cultural tour without a beach
stay, you can travel year round with the best time
being March-May and September-December.
