This article defends the importance of songs as a didactic resource in teaching Spanish as a foreign language in the digital era. While we are in a privileged moment to work with Spanish music, after reviewing teaching materials, it is concluded that the potential of songs and new technologies is not being fully taken advantage of. Suggestions are offered for obtaining legal online resources and creating digital teaching materials.
