[Link] IS IR4.0
The Fourth Industrial Revolution (or Industry 4.0) is the ongoing automation of
traditional manufacturing and industrial practices, using modern smart technology.
Large-machine to machine scale communication (M2M) and the internet things (IoT) is
integrated for increased automation, improved communication and self-monitoring,
and production of smart machines that can examine and diagnose issues without the
need for human intervention.
[Link] REALITY

Augmented reality (AR) is an interactive experience of a real-world environment where

the objects that reside in the real world are enhanced by computer-generated
perceptual information, sometimes across multiple sensory modalities,
including visual, auditory, haptic, somatosensory, and olfactory. AR can be defined as a
system that fulfills three basic features: a combination of real and virtual worlds, real-
time interaction, and accurate 3D registration of virtual and real objects. The overlaid
sensory information can be constructive (i.e. additive to the natural environment), or
destructive (i.e. masking of the natural environment). This experience is seamlessly
interwoven with the physical world such that it is perceived as an immersive aspect of
the real environment. In this way, augmented reality alters one's ongoing perception of
a real-world environment, whereas virtual reality completely replaces the user's real-
world environment with a simulated one. Augmented reality is related to two largely
synonymous terms: mixed reality and computer-mediated reality.
[Link] INTEGRATION
System integration is defined in engineering as the process of bringing together the
component subsystems into one system an aggregation of subsystems cooperating so
that the system can deliver the overarching functionality and ensuring that the
subsystems function together as a system, and in information technology as the process
of linking together different computing systems and software applications physically or
functionally, to act as a coordinated whole.

4. CLOUD COMPUTER
Cloud computer is the on-demand availability of computer system resources,
especially data storage cloud storage, and computing power, without direct active
management by the user. The term is generally used to describe data centers available
to many users over the Internet. Large clouds, predominant today, often have
functions distributed over multiple locations from central servers. If the connection to
the user is relatively close, it may be designated an edge server.

Clouds may be limited to a single organization enterprise cloud, or be available to many

organizations (public cloud).
[Link] DATA

Big data is a field that treats ways to analyze, systematically extract information from,
or otherwise, deal with data sets that are too large or complex to be dealt with by
traditional data-processing application software. Data with many cases rows) offer
greater statistical power, while data with higher complexity more attributes or columns
may lead to a higher false discovery rate. Big data challenges include capturing data,
data storage, data analysis, search, sharing, transfer, visualization, querying, updating,
information privacy, and data source. Big data was originally associated with three key
concepts: volume, variety, and velocity. When we handle big data, we may not sample
but simply observe and track what happens. Therefore, big data often includes data
with sizes that exceed the capacity of traditional software to process within an
acceptable time and value.

The Internet of Things (IoT) describes the network of physical objects— “things”—that
are embedded with sensors, software, and other technologies to connect and exchange
data with other devices and systems over the internet.

The definition of the Internet of Things has evolved due to the convergence of multiple
technologies, real-time analytics, machine learning, commodity sensors, and embedded
systems. Traditional fields of embedded systems, wireless sensor networks, control
systems, automation (including home and building automation), and others all
contribute to enabling the Internet of things. In the consumer market, IoT technology is
most synonymous with products about the concept of the "smart home", including
devices and appliances (such as lighting fixtures, thermostats, home security systems
and cameras, and other home appliances) that support one or more common
ecosystems, and can be controlled via devices associated with that ecosystem, such as
smartphones and smart speakers.
7. 3D PRINTING
3D printer, or additive manufacturing, is the construction of a three-
dimensional object from a CAD model or a digital 3D model. The term of 3D printing
can refer to a variety of processes in which material is deposited, joined, or solidified
under computer control to create a three-dimensional object, with the material being
added together (such as liquid molecules or powder grains being fused), typically layer
by layer.
8. CYBER SECURITY
Computer security, cybersecurity or information technology security (IT security) is the
protection of computer systems and networks from the theft of or damage to
their hardware, software, or electronic data, as well as from the disruption or
misdirection of the services they provide.

The field is becoming more important due to increased reliance on computer systems,
the Internet, and wireless network standards such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi and due to
the growth of smart devices, including smartphones, televisions, and the various
devices that constitute the Internet of things. Owing to its complexity, both in terms of
politics and technology, cybersecurity is also one of the major challenges in the
contemporary world.

9. AUTONOMOUS ROBOTS
An autonomous robot, also known as simply an auto robot or auto bot, is a robot that
performs behaviors or tasks with a high degree of autonomy (without external
influence). Autonomous robotics is usually considered to be a subfield of artificial
intelligence, robotics, and information engineering. Early versions were proposed and
demonstrated by author/inventor David L. Heiserman.

Autonomous robots are particularly desirable in fields such as spaceflight, household

maintenance (such as cleaning), waste water treatment, and delivering goods and
services.
10. SIMULATION
A simulation is an approximate imitation of the operation of a process or system that
represents its operation over time.

Simulation is used in many contexts, such as simulation of technology for performance

tuning or optimizing, safety engineering, testing, training, education, and video games.
Often, computer experiments are used to study simulation models. Simulation is also
used with scientific modeling of natural systems or human systems to gain insight into
their functioning, as in economics. Simulation can be used to show the eventual real
effects of alternative conditions and courses of action. Simulation is also used when
the real system cannot be engaged, because it may not be accessible, or it may be
dangerous or unacceptable to engage, or it is being designed but not yet built, or it
may simply not exist.
