of probation and recognized as the “Father of Probation”

John Agustus 2. Is believed to be the world’s first probationer.

Captain Edward Savage 3. The retired policeman from Massachusetts and considered as the first

Probation Officer.

Act No. 4103 4. The law that created the Board of Pardons and Parole and known as the

Indeterminate Sentence Law.
