LSPNG 2017 Conference Program

The tentative program outlines the schedule for the 3 day LSPNG Annual Conference to be held from September 12-14, 2017 at the University of Goroka in Papua New Guinea. Day 1 will include opening addresses and presentations on topics related to languages of PNG, including Tok Pisin, Rabaul Creole German, and English as a distant language. Day 2 will continue with additional presentations as well as performances. Day 3 will include more presentations on linguistic topics such as drums, dialects, case marking and education, followed by a panel discussion, closing remarks and the annual general meeting. The conference aims to bring together linguists and educators to discuss languages in PNG.
