Leadership is our capacity on how we influenced our members towards the realization of
a goal. As a leader, we should act as a role model to our members and should possessed the
following qualities: accountability, innovation, honesty, integrity, courage, creativity,
compassion, intelligence, goal, passion, self – regulation, humility, commitment, and resilience.
Among this qualities of a leader, the one that embarks on me is Accountability. Of course when
we become a leader responsibility comes. We’re the one who will lead and guide the group in
achieving a common goal. If we disregard our responsibilities as a leader it will affect the
members and we will fail to achieve the goal. Another is Commitment, being a leader was just
like a relationship we need to be sincere on what we do and steadfast on the purpose or the
goal of the group. Another is Courage, as a leader we should have the will to take risk. We
should be brave on whatever circumstances that comes in because achieving goals always
comes with risks, and as a leader we should face it wholeheartedly.
Sharing leadership was important in every group or organizations. Everyone can take
the lead to get the task done, build relationship and address the needs of the group. Everyone
should be involved , not just the leader who will decide and work, the responsibilities should be
shared. And the decisions should be collectively decided by all. Anyone in the group can be the
leader and we should emphasize teamwork and collaboration. Because teamwork helps us to
achieve success easily.
