Uveitis: Classification, Symptoms, and Treatment

Uveitis refers to inflammation of the uveal tract of the eye. It can be classified anatomically by location as anterior, intermediate, posterior or panuveitis. Clinically it is classified as acute or chronic based on duration. Etiologically, it can be associated with systemic diseases, infections, infestations, or be idiopathic. Anterior uveitis presents with eye pain and redness. Posterior uveitis causes floaters and vision loss. Treatment involves cycloplegics, steroids, immunosuppressants, and treating any underlying cause.

and etiologically
 Describe the signs and symptoms of different types
of uveitis and identify the differentiating points
 List the complications of different types of uveitis
 List the investigations needed in selected cases of
uveitis
 Describe the treatment of different types of uveitis
