system, device driver, Photoshop, coral draw etc.

System software is a type of computer program that is designed to run


a computer’s hardware and application programs.

OPERATING SYSTEM

An Operating system is a program that acts as an interface between the


user and the computer hardware and controls the execution of all kinds
of programs. Windows, Android, Macintosh, Unix, Linux etc.
DEBUGGER SOFTWARE

Checks bugs

Debugger Detects bugs

Corrects bugs
LINKER

A linker is a program that combines object modules to form an


executable program.

LOADER

A loader is the part of an operating system that is responsible for


loading programs and libraries.

DEVICE DRIVER

A device driver is a program that controls a particular type of device


that is attached to your computer.

UTILITY SOFTWARE

Utility software performs tasks related to the maintenance of the


computer system.

 Disk compression

 Backup utilities

 Anti-virus etc.

APPLICATION SOFTWARE

Application software is used for attaining specific tasks for the benefit
of the user.
