that appeal to the senses of the people and quicken learning facilities for clear understanding.

can only come through a proper exercise and training of bodily organs - hands, feet, eyes, ears and nose.
DEFINITION: Audio visual aids are those sensory objects or images which initiates or stimulate and reinforce learning.

The teacher has to put in mind these points before selecting an audio -visual aid for teaching activity:
1. Teaching objective ,.i.e. the type of behaviour change you want to bring in learner or the motive of the study.
2. Nature of subject matter being taught
3. Nature of audience ,.i.e. number, age , educational level, socio-economic status, interest , knowledge ,
experience.etc.
4. Cost effectiveness
5. Availability of equipment’s, materials and funds for preparing audio-visual aids.
6. Skill and experience of extension agent in preparation and use of audios visual aids .
7. Appropriateness, i.e. , is it relevant to the topic being discussed.

It has been observed that children learn best when they watch and imitate the behavior of adults like grandparents, parents,
uncles and aunts, which helps in the stimulation of sensory organs of a child. Audiovisual material make learning more
permanent since students use more than one sense. Pictures, slides, radios, videos, flashcards, toys and various other
