• First then boards are an
evidence based practice that
help children on the autism
spectrum break down tasks so
the expectations are simple to
understand
• It also helps with difficult tasks
by showing the child after they
finish something, then they can
do something they want
• For example, “First online
learning, then I get to go
outside.” Or, “First I get dressed,
then I get to eat breakfast.”
