What is Online SBI ?
OnlineSBI is the name of the internet banking service offered by the State Bank of India. It is the
most convenient way to use banking services anytime, anyplace, at your convenience.

Internet banking features offered by SBI.


1. Online tax payments: Through the online portal of SBI, you can also
pay direct taxes (OLTAS), Indirect Taxes (CBEC), Indirect Taxes (Customs). Direct tax
includes payment of TDS, Income Tax, Corporation Tax, Security Transactions Tax,
Hotel Receipts Tax, Estate Duty, Interest Tax, Wealth Tax, Expenditure Tax, Gift Tax,
Cash Transaction Tax, and Fringe Benefits Tax. As a taxpayer, one needs to have a
bank account enabled for net banking facility.
2. Open NPS account: NPS is a contribution pension system introduced by
the government as a part of Pension Sector reforms, to provide social security to all its
citizens. It is administered and regulated by PFRDA. If you are a corporate customers,
you can easily open NPS account on SBI portal.
3. Open a fixed deposit: If you have an Internet banking ID and at least
one transaction account mapped to the username, you can open an FD online in State
Bank of India. SBI account holders can use net banking to open an e-fixed deposit. You
need to login to SBI net banking by providing personal details.
4. Demat account: Demat as well as Online Trading accounts can also be
opened online in the books of SBI Cap Securities Ltd. Through SBI’s site,
[Link], users need to submit the account opening request to SBI Cap Securities
Ltd. The online application is available online. You can visit apply online forms on the
home page of the website.
5. Reset your net banking password: Now, it is very common
among users to forget their netbanking password or username. In this case, they need
to reset it which can be done easily on SBI online website.
6. Some common Features of SBI Online Banking
A. Check the account statement online.
B. Open a fixed deposit account.
C. Pay utility bills such as water bill and electricity bill.
D. Make merchant payments.
E. Transfer funds.
F. Order for a cheque book.
G. Buy general insurance.
H. Recharge prepaid mobile/DTH.

There are many more features which is provided by SBI, but in my knowledge these features
make our life easier and save our time & money.
