Dear Sir:

Greetings!

The unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic which caused a sudden halt in our work made its impact on the
important activities of the SHS Department. Major adjustments in the deadline of submission of
students’ final requirements and teachers’ final grades greatly affected the delivery of our services and
performance of other office tasks. With these changes, students have to delay the submission of their
documentary requirements for their college enrollment and we also had to prepare for the official
graduation of the last batch of Grade 12 students under my supervision in the Senior High School
Department on June 30, 2020.

The succeeding weeks after graduation are very crucial since we have to entertain a deluge of requests
for documents coming from students to be submitted to their preferred institution for their tertiary
education. Students are already in a hurry to have their documents since their preferred schools in
college had also set their deadlines this month of July. Coincidentally, the department’s on Job Order
office staff were also terminated on the above-mentioned date. With this dilemma the SHS Department
can barely meet all the student’s requests. Additionally, the office still has to finalize the filing of
students’ records before they are turned over to the office of the University Registrar.

In connection to this, I would like to appeal for the renewal of appointment of one of our office staff in
the person of Ms. Colyn Santander. If possible she can be given an extension of at least three months to
work on students requests , filing of students’ records and many other related tasks. Ms. Santander has
been trained enough and works efficiently, systematically, and productively. Her Individual Employee for
the last two terms are attached for your reference.

I am hoping for your favorable response to this appeal.
